The fans at Soldier Field will be treated to a contest between the New Orleans Saints and the Chicago Bears when they take their seats on Sunday for the NFC Championship Game.

Oddsmakers currently have the Bears listed as 2-point favorites versus the Saints, while the game's total is sitting at 43½.

The Saints hung on for a 27-24 win over the Philadelphia Eagles as they march into the NFC Championship Game. New Orleans failed to cover the 5.5-point spread in the win, but the final score made it OVER the posted total of 49.

Deuce McAllister rushed for 143 yards off 21 carries and caught another TD pass in leading the Saints last week.

The Bears edged Seattle 27-24 as a 9-point favorite last week. The combined score went OVER the posted over/under total (37).

Rex Grossman completed 21-of-38 passes for 282 yards with a touchdown and an interception in the win. Thomas Jones rushed for 66 yards on 21 carries with a pair of touchdowns.

Regular season records:
New Orleans: 10-6 SU, 10-6 ATS
Chicago: 13-3 SU, 10-6 ATS

I like the Saints for some strange reason I feel like it's there time. I am going to wait a little while before i bet.

Im ready to roll baby! go bears!!!
i hear a interview with nathan vasher on the radio today
the bears are pretty pumped up to face the saints O.
the real key to this game will be the bears front 7 stopping the running game
the bears secondary can handle the recieving core. Duece is a beast though up the gut. The front 3 of Urlacher, Boone and Tank Johnson better strap their helmets on tight

i think bush wont do too much, the bears nullify speedy outside runners and thier backers play the screen better than anyone in the NFL

its gonna be a great game!
Go bears!

what about the pats bro.witch way you going to swing it.
I'm leaving it at 3
that's too much of a half point to swing either way
if it goes to 3.5 late I may host a second event

now i have 5 days of NO fans trashing the bookie forum like a fucking KISS concert. now i'm pulling for the Bears.

I'm so sick and tired of hearing "defense" wins balls games
shit just yesterday I posted steve grogan's 3 qtr stats in superbowlXX
the blow out 46-10
the pat's were blown out because chicago scored on every opportunity

Indy will beat new england sunday
by 10 if I had to call it
Indy is riding the juice of a team jelling,off/def
make fun of manning but brady goes into their dome against a team

Defense does win ball games. There's no doubt about that. I just think Chicago's defense is good but does have holes. New Orleans defense (with the exception of Fred Thomas) is good as well.

Offense vs Defense (the defense wins 8-9 in the Super bowl) The last time the number 1 offense vs number 1 defesne was Tampa Bay vs Oakland a few years ago and the Tampa bay defense picked off Rich Gannon for touchdowns a few times.

i am seriously being swayed by your points.

The Colts have put together a decent blitz and run-coverage package for post-season but I think they'll be picked apart by Brady's short passing and too many open opportunities downfield. Pats def. is adequate to cause Manning problems. Pats will win.

Am I in the wrong thread?

Go Bears! I doubt that I'll bet on the Bears game.

is everybody in?
I like the late bets
i'm still dawdling. i won't bet on NO out of sheer principal....i've trashed talked them too much, plus they've cost me.

I'm still dithering, too. You might yet pass 30 million. :)

I'm going to miss most of the match since the season double-episode premiere of 24 is showing one hour into the game. I just flicked through all of next week's schedule and there's no repeat and I can't tape one channel and watch a different one. Bummer. Still, 24 should be finished before OT starts.

I'm not worried. This game shows Chicago can do nothing offensively. All we need to do is hold onto the ball

How many yards offense does NO have? You have to move the ball as well as hold on to it.

come on saints....need to make some adjustments at half :worried:

well there goes my K.....3 possession game now....:(

Told ya the saints couldn't handle a stout D of any kind. Baltimore put a whoopin on the earlier Carolina did too. Nasty D's are too much for the Ain'ts.

Well I am going to partially disagree with this.

I've said on another thread offense vs defense , the defense generally wins. As far as No vs any decent offense , I'm not going to say that but Chicago did win and win big in the 4th quarter. The intentional grounding for a safety changed everything
