Best Drink To Pack On Solid Mass

I believe you knew some stuff that didn't work. But it is obvious from your pics at 38 you didn't (then) know what DID work - including for calves and abs. Your pics don't say "hardgainer" they say "here's a guy who still hasn't figured out the mags are bullshit." That doesn't say anything...

    heavy training and longetivity

Jeremy, I'll spot you the 25 years and give you the "looking back" answer. 1) Back off. I did traditional cycling, but however you handle it, don't always be working at your limit, especially with low reps. Also take a week off now and then. 2) Balance. Man, more guys my age have...

Best Drink To Pack On Solid Mass

No, at the time of your before pics you didn't know diddly. And by your own words: "The start of a new approach. (Please forgive the underwear.) At this point, many of the "experts" with whom I'd been in contact (trainers, doctors, coaches, authors, athletes, etc.) informed me that at the age...

Best Drink To Pack On Solid Mass

Really? According to your web page http://www.nelsonmontana.com/gallery.html you were still a stick at 38. Obviously you didn't know what you were doing up until then. Either with yourself or with any people insane enough to have allowed you to train them. Why would you list that time as...

I need some opinions on an upcoming powerlifting meet guys...

Just lift raw. That way you can tell how much you improved your strength. When you add equipment, there is improvement in how you use it over the first couple meets. Spend the money on food instead. Traps

You should be as devoted to stretching as you are to lifting.

Slobber, when I was doing PLing, stretching definitely helped me. I didn't do a lot and I don't think you need to do a lot. But it definitely helped recovery and it definitely helped with using the most efficient form. It still helps with reducing discomfort from old injuries, speeding...

lifting heavy weights into old age

I'm mid-40s and I've been doing this for 25 years. I do have some areas where I have to be careful but I can still lift hard. The thing is, you can lift hard, but maxing out too much will end up causing you problems. Also you gotta avoid doing abusive shit. Traps

So, I've decided to go Old School for a little while.

Good luck! Please give updates as you go along. How did the DC work out for you? Traps

    Back to DC training...

debaser, this is great, you can answer something I've been wondering about. Which seems harder to recover from - the 2x5 or the 1 higher rep set? TIA, Traps

    rest-pause as one with doggcrapp

rest-pause as done with doggcrapp Got a question for those who have done this - how hard is a set of 15RP to recover from, compared to doing 2 x 4-6 with very heavy weights? Do you feel like you can do it more often, or less often? TIA, Traps

Another attempt at a training routine

Doesn't look bad. Try it for a couple months. If it is working at that point, keep doing it. Traps

    TRAP bar deads

While I didn't like the trap bar myself, that was because I had been DLing so long. You can make it just like a DL (or SLDL) except for grip; it all depends on how you upright you keep your torso and how much you let your hands go forward. If you go straight up and down it is like a bad...

High Rep Squats & Growth Hormone Levels- Is There A Connection???

TR, you're probably right, we probably did end up eating more when we did them. I just don't think I could have done them very well on restricted calories. On those rare ocassions that I ate less, I got worse at higher reps in anything. But you are talking about doing multiple sets of them...

Trying to come up with a new routine

Mike, it looks like a lot for the low back. Olympic lifters aren't doing much eccentric work and they aren't trying to go as heavy as possible every time. But if you take off a week a month like you say it might work. Just maybe think about priorities. It is hard to fix everything at once...
