I have the same thing. I'm not sure how it started, but to this day I have to be careful about how I lay on my side. Make sure you stretch after chest sets and try to keep your chest at least partially expanded as much as possible. That keeps me from getting that weird cramp-like feeling.
Training doesn't mean shit if you're not eating enough. Bump your cals to 3000 (make sure you actually keep track) and see what happens after two weeks. Keep bumping up cals by 500 every two weeks until you're gaining at an acceptable pace.
