    Nwinters - I train my abs 2-4 days a week, and mix it up between weighted ab work, such as situps with a plate behind my head, sidebends, some other different twisting/oblique exercises, and non weighted ground based ab work for high reps... v-ups, atomic situps, jackknifes, leg raises...

    you know, there was a lot of bitching on all the mma forums over the last ufc and how much it "sucked". I personally thought it was pretty damn good minus a few small incidents. How about that standing rear naked choke, though? Hughes is the man and I predict a beating of BJ Penn in january.

    January 1st Goal Thread

    at a bodyweight of 175lb. : power clean 225x5 squat (full, no belt) 315x5 push press 205x5 those are the main ones. I'd also like to row 275x5 (not sayin they'll be pretty), be able to do a minimum of 15 deadhang pull ups, and I need to work on my pathetic inclines and dips.

    sounds good, man. I've seen two short clips where they showed couture lifting. In one he was doing clean and presses and in another he was doing heavy bent rows. I bet he just does alot of hard rolling and sparing, and any extra conditioning work is just complimentory.
