    Canadian Supplements Suck Ass!

    Isn't muscletech a Canadian based company? They make most of their suppliments in Canada, and ship to the us. Only difference is what the FDA allows and what Health Canada allows in them.

    I can do 600 lbs on standing calf raises. The machine plates max out at 510, and I usually end up adding a 45 or 2.

    Could be the spinal erector muscles. They attach right to the base of the occipit. If you were rounding your back too much, then you could have easily pulled them. I'd take a day or two off of deadlifts to give them a chance to recouperate, and if they still hurt, then I'd check with a sports...

    Heart Rate

    One pound of muscle burns approximately 40 calories per day. You would need to know how much of your body weight is made up of muscle before you started working out, and how many pounds of muscle you have now. That's pretty much the only way I know of doing it.

    fitness evaluations

    Yes, they are very accurate at measuring how well your body uses oxygen, but imo, it's not a terribly accurate measure of overall fitness. Better than BMI, but not the best out there.

    Soreness vs. Injury

    It's so much easier to prevent injury than to recover from it. I'd get a pro trainer to follow you for a workout and get them to watch your form during your exercises. I'd also throw in a rotator cuff specific exercise.
