Soreness vs. Injury

When can you draw the line between elongated soreness and an injury. My left shoulder, rotator cuff, and trap have been sore for several days now and perhaps it is related to a cold. I can work back and triceps fine and chest with dumbells, but others are too hard for my left side. When would you throw in the towel and go see a sports doctor?

It's so much easier to prevent injury than to recover from it. I'd get a pro trainer to follow you for a workout and get them to watch your form during your exercises. I'd also throw in a rotator cuff specific exercise.

If it's just sore you're probably ok. Just do some rehabilitating excercise. Unless it's shooting sharp pains, or popping of your shoulder or something like that, then you need to worry.

Yeah its just sore so that rules out a good amount, Ill have to give it a lil rest and then start doing my rotator cuff work which i stopped doing a while ago because of laziness.
