....what did you score on your GMATs and what school did you go to?

Just trying to get a realistic feel of what type of school i can get into.
My GPA is around a 3.6 ish and on my practice GMATs i been scoring in the 680-710 range. My undergrad program is top 30ish overall and i have years of professional work experience. I even got in good with the dean of the college of business, so I can get a solid recommendation from him

Can a 700 GMAT score with the above criteria land me in a lower end ivy league program?

You know on their web sites they have stats for the previous year's class. The stats usually include the previously admitted class's average test scores and GPAs.

i received my masters degree in taxation from robert morris university in pittsburgh...i scored in the 99th percentile on the verbal portion of the gmat...i refuse to tell you where i scored on the math portion on the grounds that i will incriminate myself...but...lets just say that accounting (particularly taxation) is (to me) more about laws and rules and regulations and other such stuff that works in my head, than it is about math :lmao:

as an undergrad i was meh...middle of the road...i worked only as hard as i needed to get a b, and i spent the rest of my time playing rugby, drinking beer and chasing women...i wouldn't recommend it, i had to work waaayyyy to hard to overcome my underachieving youth...i finished my masters program with a 3.98...there were 25 people in my class when we started and only 15 of us finished...it was grueling...and, like trying to drink from a firehose, especially while working 50+ hours a week.

yeah?

US news has all that data too for every school, but i don't feel like paying for it right now. probably when i get closer to actually taking my real GMAT.

but i'll check it out, thanks

yeah, the quantitative section sucks a bag of dicks. i need to improve on that area. It fucked me on my SATs, i won't let it happen again.

The verbal I got on lock.

i changed jobs and doubled my wage, plus i received a $10,000 signing bonus (which was damn rare in 1996) from my new employer two weeks after i finished the program, though...best move i ever made (career-wise) :)
