I honestly think its a way for you to spend more money on supplements like whey protein and such. BUT if you are not growing, then I would add protein for sure, along with carbs and fat.
Since your question is about health, that is something only you can know if u take blood tests. I think the only thing it would affect are your kidneys, honestly 200g is not gonna be bad for you at all. PPL do it all the time and they are fine. I wouldnt worry about it. But i wouldnt say that you NEED 2g/lb to GROW. Thats bullshit
