Michael Bloomberg needs to run for President in 2012.

I doubt he'd be significantly different than any other greedy politician.
He already has more money than God, which means he wont be beholden to any particular lobby or corporation, like every other politician weve had in modern history.

most politicians are independently wealthy before they take office. just because he has tons of money doesn't mean he doesn't want more, and/or open his wallet.

I'm always amazed at why people want multi-millinaires who have nothing in common with you - to become president - and then expect them to care about YOU. WTF. Why would they - woudln't they care more about their own types??? (insert obama, bush, clinton and their rich buddies).
Politicians are also millionaires. Same thing, except millionaire politicians lie more. The end goal is the same: make them and their buddies money while raping the taxpayer.
(Palin was the CLOSEST to you and me than any other candidate in decades. Except she didn't even come close to winning - wonder why).

And red, I realize the politicians are generally wealthy, but not to the extent where they can actually fund their own campaign. Bloomberg spent close to $100 million on his recent re-election.

What party? He couldn't win a nomination from either party based on the primary system. Independent, Ross Perot 2.0?
The current system gives us two choices nobody wants...to steal from South Park...a "Turd Sandwich" or a "Giant Douche."
The two parties get almost equal money from big business and special interest...trade seats and nothing changes....not even their political rhetoric about changing the system...just sayin'...Elect all Republicans and we'll get more of the same big government regulation.
Hell, we elected a black dude with a landslide and complete control of the government and he's politics as normal more than shrub!

Word. Steve Forbes 2.0 also. No matter how rich someone is - the two parties are far more POWERFUL (mobs). Even a Bill Gates cannnot destroy 200+ year democrat or republican party. There will be BLOOD IN THE STREETS before Washington allows the 2-party system to be destroyed. It's how American joes get scammed every 4 years - great system for politicians.
