why are crocs more feared than gators?

alligators are actually pretty timid when it comes to humans. crocodiles on the other hand will go right for a human.

the amount of crocodile related deaths to alligator related deaths isn't even remotely close.

actually watching Animal planet ,there was this documentary about this couple that was attacked by a 9 ft Saltwater croc,researcher have studied the animals brain and concluded this spieces shows a much higher intelligence than most reptiles, this croc watched from a distant the 4 couples as the camped and grilled 20 from the riverbank, it also had the intelligence not only to observe,but to wait until everyone went to sleep,and the light turned off,then when things were quiet it made its move,it went into the tent and grabbed the woman by the leg and started dragging her toward the water her screams are what saved her.

I'm glad we don't have to deal with either one in Texas or California (other than escaped illegal pet alligators and crocodiles, sometimes). It's bad enough to have to worry about rattlesnakes and black widow spiders, and the occasional angry bear.
