It does say all rights reserved at the bottom of the page. There is no disclaimer signed stating that everything is belonging to you.

And your peer1 server is insecure.

But at the same time, the storage of what you post is not your, it belongs to someone else and therefor admin/mods etc have the control over said storage space and there can limit what members store on it.

Exclusive rights to reuse for profit, not to redisplay. Posting on a public forum would fall under "fair use". The servers that run this site are owned, buying them and supporting them costs money and it is at the owners, or their agents, discretion what is allowed to be posted and stored by their property (ie servers).

The creator of this thread has not posted anything worth breaking copyright law for nor has there been anything worth storing.

I think that deleting a post is different than editing. Unless someone deletes and repost's it as their own. This is a great community, however some of the gungho mod should be checked and edit priv should be removed from them IMO.

The best thing would be to make an off topic board and allow mods to just move irrelevant threads to there. Many problems solved.

The posts that were removed broke the rules. Talking about sources is dangerous for everyone on the site.

If people just follow the rules posts dont get erased, and no one has a problem.

If a post is against the rules its free to be moderated which includes editing. When someone posts here no one knows who the true source is so even though is could possibly be viewed as copyrighted, unless the content of the post is actually submitted to the copyright notice the original poster, assuming they can prove who they are and that they actually authored the work then they are only entitled to recovery damages from theft of work.

The easiest way to avoid having a post deleted or edited is simply to follow the rules and as I have said in the authors other thread under another username, show that you are serious about this shit and you will get help. Come in here with guns blazing and telling us you have been studying for a night and want help doesnt cut it. Next people will be asking us to lift the fucking weights for em too.

Actually slander is for verbal communication. Libel is for written/broadcast works. And once again its tough proving that the author personally "suffered" since the true identity is not known by anyone.

If you would like to travel down that path however, the author of posts obviously in abuse of the terms of service and actions taken (creation of alters and who knows what else) could be classified as disruptive to business and EF could have legal recourse right back.
