Hansel and other PS3 fanboys......

picked up Dragon age, will let you know how good it is when I play it......from the time I popped it in to play it has taken almost 15 min to download and install updates and install the game to the ps3.

Popped in Uncharted 2 last night for the first time in a few months. Update required, downloaded and installed in all of 1 minute. :)
No HDD install with this game either ftw.

Gave it some time.

The only only things I can find that are better about the PS3.

1.Blu-ray....awesome to watch movies and games have much much more storage space and much more
potential.

2. Sound...probably the Blu-ray again...sound seems high def, more detailed.

3. media capabilities.... doesn't seem as finicky as the xbox as far as playing video types and videos seem to look better for some reason.

3. able to copy videos over to the hard drive.

4. Bluetooth everything.

5. rechargeable controllers.

Cons.

1. Sorry but the games and game line up are poor compared to the xbox.

2. Controller is terrible and needs to be redesigned, admit or not the xbox has a much better controller and control lay out.

3. yeah, online play is free but doesn't even compare to the xbox, not to mention their plans for "PlayStation Plus"

PlayStation Plus: A Great Idea Bereft of Content - PCWorld

Seems like a terrible idea, unless they really step up the free games(not bullshit shovelware either),and maybe some free rentals per month of Sony's movies.

4. the PlayStation store is a mess and needs to be completely retooled.

5. the updates, installs and downloads are really lame, I can download a demo, feature whatever and run it only to be prompted to update it and install it again?

The PCWorld article was pretty negative but even their conclusion was that it's just getting started.

I've used Xbox Live but not enough to give an accurate opinion. Could you please explain what is so great about it (besides X-game chat)?
Ditto for Xbox 360 game lineup?

xbox live is just easier, the menu system, the party system....and I could care less about the x game chat.

Games are a matter of opinion, I simply like the offering on xbox alot more.

I'll admit they seem to have their online gaming community structured more conveniently within Xbox Live. I don't game online enough to notice much inconvenience on either one though. About the only game I'd get a 360 for is Gears 2 (and 3). Anything else I'd just play on PC. PS3 to me simply has a broader range of high quality games and features. To each their own is the moral of the story it seems.
