Does anyone still detail their own car?

I haven't been in charge of cleaning, washing and waxing my own car in years. I used to spend every weekend doing it and decided to go to a drive up detail shop and loved it. things have gotten to be so costly I decided to do it myself. I went out and had to buy all the sit again. Anyway, I washed and waxed my Explorer and what a fucking nightmare. I forgot what a pain in the ass it is! Tires, rims, etc.etc.etc. Drag the hose out, power washer, electrical cord, buffer! Jesus!!!!

What do you guys do????

i used to when i had my blazer. id spend about 2-3 hours every weekend on it. too lazy now. plus i make more money and can afford a car wash

I let the messicans do it for me. It's too much work. It's worth the money in my opinion.

I used to. Now just take it in for 1 serious detail a year, then hand washes in between

I will have mine cleaned a few times a year then wash it myself the rest of the time.

I just roll through the car wash
company expense
then every 10th wash they detail the inside for you

I wax in spring and fall
