yeah, but we're only locked in to javi for a year (unpossible with lackey). we will be able to let him and his salary get off the books just in time for Cliff Lee's Free agency. Not a bad #4 IMO. Dont like letting Melky go though
Not really (dont just remember his relief appearance in the CS). He was playing with an injury the last half. his fastball was topping at 85. He had the coins to continue pitching through that. His average FB bout 92-93, nasty off speed. 4th in NL cy young (yeah I know NL), but he won close to 15 games with us. He's had 4 years improvement. Not a bad move. I'll quote this for this spring
