LG's *first* Journal

Good lord, you girls are making my head BIG! I better get out of here before ironwings kicks my butt.

You guys should see her doing some of those complexes she posted. I don't think i could take her!

No! No need for ironwings to kick your butt!

Just admiring your physique and getting a compliment...

My word! You can squat 225!! I am SOOOOO impressed! My goal is 200.. I am currently @ 120lbs... just added the extra 20 & man, i can hardly walk 2 days later.. :)

It would be so neat to train w/ someone like you IronWing :)

Aloha everyone!

I am happy to annouce that I did really well this weekend :) Stayed on track with the diet & actually hit the gym on EVERY scheduled day! Really amazing how that feels- I know consistancy is where its at to see fat loss, so here to week 3 on "sticking to it", I have a feeling Im going to start seeing some results soon...

Wondering if its a good idea to switch up macros... I do eat more carbs on Leg & Back days- but my maro's are always around : fat-15-20g, Carbs-70-100, Protien- 100-130.

Any suggestions?
Got the bf convinced to try out complex 6 ( yay!)

LG, what do you mean by switching it?

Hi Than-

I mean like right now I am keeping the macro's pretty tight, should I be switching up the fats ( ie. take in more one day than another) sorta like the carbs & protien... I heard shocking the body is good- like cheat meals- tho i refuse to cheat until I have reached 130lbs.

Whattdaya think? Or is someone blowing smoke up my bum??? Lol

You can increase your carbs once a week to 120g and fat no higher then 25g. That said, be careful with a cheat meal. Those increases work, but if you have a cheat meal also, you will gain again.
See, what you are doing is working as if you are competing because you want to look great in December. You can do that easily, but not with cheat meals, however.
When we are in competition we get cheat meal, but that at the beginning of the dieting. Like, I'm just starting to diet for the spring tomorrow with a cheat meal, but I can't do that comes January.

You have 5 lbs to reach your goal? and 3 months? Yes, have a bit more carbs and a bit more fat, you can always adjust it back down once you are close.

Hi Than-
Thanks, I love when you hook me up w/ more knowledge, as we both know it is power! :)

So at the begining of contest prep, you allow yourself a cheat meal once per week? You begin your prep 4 months prior to the comp? How does your diet change closer to the contest date? I gather no more cheat meals, but what else has to change? When do you incorperate the added dreaded cardio?

I am training with really ( grunting & nearly impossible ) weights once a week- keeping the rest of the week moderate weights ( except arms- i keep them ALWAYS moderate, they grow so fast, so 17.5lbs x high reps 3 sets) For cardio I am doing HIIT 6x a week, for 20-30 minutes. I walk on an incline of 2-3 for a lap then crank up the speed to 8 for a lap, rotating that for 20-30 minutes ( good?).
My diet is in check, I am allowing a cheat meal once a week, weather it be something like spagetti or homemade nachos ( its ALWAYS home made & NEVER fast food or ice cream..or brownies for that matter :( )
A Sample of my daily meal:
Meal 1- 1/2 Cup Oatmeal, 1/2 cup skim milk & handful of berries
Meal 2- 1 cup cottage cheese & 1 orange / or protien shake w/ 8 almonds
Meal 3- Chicken Salad w/ 1 tbsp. light cal-wise dressing ( I alternate chicken salad & tofu salad)
Meal 4- Tuna mixed with onion, garlic, red cabbage, arugala & 2 tbsps. Apple cider vin. & 1 tsp dijon mustard or 1 cup whole wheat pasta & salmon mixture
Meal 5- PWO shake
Meal 6- 3-4 egg whites & 1 cup green tea ( if I am still hungry, I eat 1/2 cup cottage cheese or yogurt & fruit)
Ive noticed I am just maintaining my weight @ 137lbs. 19% bf. My cal. intake is at just 1000 or less, macro's right on the $$...Ive got till dec. to drop 10lbs........

I allow myself time for prep for contest depending on the condition I'm in. I'm usually in pretty good condition since I don't allow myself to go too far from mi diet. This time I started preping in December of '07 for the first show being in June 7th 08. Now, you might think that's too much time, but our body gets transformed slowly, then you have to have room to improve a bit here or there.

In general I'd say 6 to 7 months before contest, but that's if you look pretty good already. I stop cheat meals, again depending on how I look. If I'm in pretty good condition, I stop having a cheat meal about 3 months out in average.
Cardio samething, depending on condition. I do cardio 3x a week all year round, but leasurely. I never go crazy with cardio. I want my body conditioned all the time. About 2 months drom contest, I do it 5 days a week; abou 30-35 minutes a day.
What happens if you let it go too far, by the time you start doing all that cardio to lean out, you then lose muscles. It's inevitable!

Your diet is good, but I'd skip the whole wheat pasta, because your progess wont be as great. Anything that contains flour I'd skip. Wheat or not it makes no difference. Eat whole food!!!!!!!
I am always saying that. There are sooooo many people that say pasta is good, bread is good, but that's why they can't give it up and they NEVER get really lean, unless you have an incredible metabolism. Most young men do!
You've been 137-139 for a while right? If you have 1000 calories, which is very little, but have pasta or what have you; you'll lose a couple of lbs, but will add a cople of lbs.
I eat a lot of food. I'm rarely hungry, but I eat whole clean food and don't have to worry about it. I know my body will get in better and better shape each month that goes by. Consistently!
Does that make sense? Again, is about what you really want. N body has to eat that way unless they really want it. And, I never crave those "cheat meals" because my system is so used to having whole foods, therefore, I'm not suffering..

Thanks Than-

I will cut the pasta out, stick w/ the tuna in the afternoon. I actually find that to be more filling for longer.

Other than that- every thing looks good?

Yes, I actually have been hovering around 137 for a while.. I was 143 when I started this log I believe. So that is something right..
But where as my goal is 127lbs.. Ive got a lot of work to do..
I'll keep doing what Im doing.. but if anyone has any advice for how to break thru a plateau....

:qt:

Everything else looks pretty good!

Consistency will brake the plateau! There's no magic. Once your body has been conditioned for a long time, then when you cheat, it wont be affected much. Is like a ballet dancer. Once she matures those muscles, nothing will make it change that, even whe she's of old age; you can tell she's been a ballet dancer. If I go out tonigh and drink, have dessert, anything I want, the next morning I'd have gained a couple of lbs, but it will take me one day to go back to normal. Because my body is already conditioned to be lean.

That makes total sense.
I have gained back a lb or two from my cheat DAYS.. so I figured I would have a cheat time ( 4 hours) but it would only be in the begining part of a day- before noon always.

Eating every 3 hours is showing me more progress than when I was chowing every 2. Results usually start to show after the 3-4 week mark right?

Again, it depends. I can show progress in a few days. There are days that my weight won't budge, but I know if I keep being consistent it will break through. At this point you should have been at 127lbs. The only reason why you're not is because you were having "windows for cheating" there's no such thing as a window for cheating. You get to where you want to be, then you play around. And I KNOW you're young and need to have fun and you should. But if you have a date goal to be in shape, then you don't have room for straying.

:chomp: So NO cheating unitl the goal is reached...my only question is; isnt the point of cheating to shock your body? My only concern would be not having the reward at the end of the week of hard work & diet..

where as I am interested in competing one day, I really do appreciate the feedback, and I guess I will have to suck it up & no cheating again until my weight has reached 127lbs.

I do agree, I shouldve been there a long time ago. While my weight is hovering, I am getting more muscular. I should really post some photos for you- then you can critique :)

IMO, I think is best to have cheat meal up to a certain point, then you need to be spot on. You can cheat up to a couple of months before comp, but not all the way through. The thing is that you are not where you want to be and you're not getting there fast. That's why I'm suggesting NO cheats. You have 3 months away, right? at this point you could have been hving a cheat meal, but I THINK you had plenty or you wouldn't be losing so slowly. Maybe your cheats were too big? too frequent? I'm not sure. But it appears is 2 step forward and 1/2 steps backwards. Do you agree?

Yes' can you post pictures for me. or I'll pm you my email address.

I definately agree. Its getting to be pretty rediculous, and I am definately frustrated with it all.

After a week of staying on track, I will reward myself a little too much I think- and yes, I bounce back easily ( about a week ) thats a week that I could be progressing, not just getting BACK to where I started...

I will take some pic's tonight & email them to you- Thank you for your support.

I would initially like to start competing next year, after I get my BA & move to Toronto. :) Thats the dream anyways..:qt:

Now you got it!
If you want to compete in a year or so, give yourself a year to train for it since this is your first time. I could say 6 months, but 6 months go really fast and you'll have to be 100% spot on and I don't think you're ready for that. LOL!

LOL.
Than- considering my history w/ being spot on- I would say NO freakin way is 6 months enough time! Granted, in the past year, Ive quit smoking & drinking... so really..I am capable of anything I put my mind too.
There is ALOT going on right now though (I am studying for my real estate & working full time) so a year goal is PERFECT O! :)

Dont know what Id do without you or ELITE! lol:qt:

I'll post photos tomorrow & measurements.

Hi Everyone

So, I went for my B.A consult..and I am booked for next year! I picked a great doctor, he didnt give me any options size wise, he fit the implants to my chest plate & it was a very pleasent experience.

Now, onto the real important stuff- Than, I was out of town last weekend, so I will take photos for you this weekend.
I am trying a very high protien diet ( as I am not allowed to do anymore cycles until after the BA) I want to build up some nice definition.
So starting today my diet looks something like this:
Meal 1- 1/2 cup oatmeal & 1/2 cup skim milk & handful berries
Meal 2- Protien Shake
Meal 3- Tuna & veg
Meal 4- Tuna & Veg
Meal 5- PWO
Meal 6- 5-10 egg whites

Should I alterante the breakfast w/ egg whites every 2nd day?
Im going to continue w/ the HIIT 4x a week & Weight training 5x a week. I have to avoid chest completely ( apprearently thats why I have such nice pecs & no breasts..lmao)
And I am going to be doing moderate weights 3 weeks & then HEAVY 1 week.. or does anyone have any other suggestions here?

Thanks Girls!! :)

Yes, you can have the eggs in the morning. PLEASE, skip the weights, I believe is 3 weeks before surgery and 4 weeks after. Believe me, you're not going to fall apart if you don't train. When I had them done, I also wanted to keep lifting, but I controlled the urge. You could have heavy bleading if you do. It's not worth the risk.

Looking forward to your pics..

Than-
Yah Im gunna make sure to take er easy before & after the BA.
I can totally relate, funny you said that- I will prob. have a hell of a time not training, but ive got enough sense to know its in my best interest to relax.

:)

Than- Ive sent you some pics via your aol email.
Any feedback?

LG, I didn't get your pics. Hmm, do you have the right address?
I'll pm it again. Some people spell my name different and that might be the case.

Im glad you finally got em!!
Im open to all & ALL advice anyone has! Im bustin my ass- without running anything & am planning on keeping it that way- ( suppose to stop any form of steroid 6 months prior to a BA).
MY GOAL- TO lean out significantly- still set on hitting 127lbs./ bf% around the 17-18% mark.

I have a feeling my diet is huge reason I keep going in circles. I do sooo well on the weekdays- but as soon as I am on free time w/ the boyfriend, the beast comes out! LOL So Ill drop a few lbs..then gain it back..its getting to be discouraging.
BUT yah, no more drinking, & no more refined foods and I never eat JUNK FOOD>> MCDICKS is the DEVIL!!!

:)

I replied to you this morning from my iphone, but I now noticed it didn't come through. Anyway, will do that tomorrow.

Hey EB- I actually deleted the before photos ( they are the progress ones i sent to than), I am currently at 135.6lbs.
19% bf ( still.. grr)
I am going to try this for macro's for the next month, see how my body responds.
Carbs- 70-100 ( cycle low & high days)
Fat- 15-25
Protien- 120 ( a bit confused here, if my carbs are really low, can I make up w/ high protien?) Does high protien build more dense muscles? I am trying to build some lean body mass...

Ideally, I have the same goal- Id like to be 127 lbs. w/ about 17-18% bf. I want to have a slick physic w/ definition...dont we all!! lol

Hey, LG!

Did you get my pm yesterday. I've been crazy busy and didn't prove read what I send.

Hey, LG!

Did you get my pm yesterday. I've been crazy busy and didn't prove read what I send.

Hi Than!
Yes I have received your PM :) thanks.
I was busy this weekend w/ Canadian Thanksgiving, but now its back to the ol' routine.

I've been having a hard time getting those macro's to match exactly. Im always falling short on something, or coming out too much with something else... thats why I requested a specific diet, heres an example of what Ive been dealing with ( trying to get it down as close as possible & not having much luck..:worried:)
Meal 1- 1/2 cup oatmeal with 1/2 cup skim milk & dried fruit
Fat:1.3 Carb: 25.3 Protien:7.3
Meal 2- 27g. Protien Shake
Fat: 0.1 Carb:0.2 Protien: 27
Meal 3- Chicken Salad 2 cups w/ Light Dressing 1tbsp
Fat: 3.9 Carb:6.7 Protien:19.1
Meal 4- Tuna & 3 Rice Cakes
Fat:1.8 Carb: 6.7 Protien:41.4
Meal 5- P.w.o ( I have 27g protien here & 1 tsp. glutamine)
Meal 6- 4 egg whites w/ 1 cup broccoli
Fat: 0.5 Carbs:6.8 Protien: 16.8
TOTAL: FAT: 7.7 Carb: 46.1 Protien: 125.2

You see, the protien is the only thing I can get close.. please help.:bigkiss:

Hey LG!

You don't have to be exact, but yes, the carbs and fat are way too low.
Protein is the hardest to keep in check, but with carbs you can add a sweet potato without adding much protein and fat you can have almonds or add an extra tbs of flaxeed oil to your salad or shake.

Anyway, I'll send you a diet anyway. If you have my email just hit reply and send in case I cant find yours.
Happy Belated Thanksgiving!!

Oh how freakin' sweet it is to have women like you all to help me out!
I can't even imagine what I was thinking 3 years ago when I was eating MCDick's on a weekly basis &
justifying it with my 40 min. relcine bike cardio..ahahaha Things have really turned around.

I do wish I could run another cycle of var, I am having a bit of a struggle with the workload at the gym- thats a huge part of why I want to get my diet bang on...

We all learn at one point or another. You, on the other hand are learning at 20 yo, how awesome is that!

Good Point Than- my chances of looking like YOU when Im your age are improving each passing day I stay consistant & driven :)

Also, when is prime to to cosume BCAA's? I read that DURING one's workout is ideal..

And you will!
The BCAA I take is 2 scoops for 1 serving, so I take 1 scoop with Super Pump 250, 30 minutes before training and 1 scoop with Size On during training. Protein powder with glutamine(among other things) when I get home from training.

And I got the diet- I am not a picky eater @ all, so I will go with what you recommended. thank you so much. I will weigh in on friday, and post you on the progress!

It might takes you a couple of weeks for your body to assimilate to it. So, if you don't see any changes in a week, don't panic. If you have any questions, let me know.

I'll stick with it, I should see SOME results in about a month...??
I had 1 cup of oatmeal for breakfast this morning, instead of the usual 1/2 & there is no way I could choke back 4 egg whites on top of that..now if I added some milk, would that work for protien? Or perhapes cut it back to 1/2 cup oat. & have room for the egg whites.. :)
Im sorry if this sounds stupid, I just want to make sure I do it right, Im tired of going in circles. I've even considered waking up @5am to get ALL the meals in for the day & start doing am cardio again.

Also, besides BCAA, Mulit-vit, Protien & Glut. are there any other supp's in any of your opinions that would be worth giving a shot.
I used to take cell mass- but didnt notice much from it. Than, you mention super pump- worth the $$$???

Thanks!

Hey LG!

I just wanted to chime in on the milk. I don't want to sound anti dairy but milk contains a lot of sugar. Usually 12 grams per cup. Now what's deceiving to most is the concept of buying skim milk. Yes skim milk has reduced fat, but all of the sugar is still there.

So ..... this is just my 2 pennies but since your current goal is to lean out, i would stay away from milk.

I agree with OneBreath on the milk.
If 1/3 c of oatmeal(btw, oatmeal is 1/3 or 1/2 cup uncooked. That turns into 1 cup once you cook it) is too much for now, then have 1/2 the portion and have the eggs with it. Eggs are one of the best proteins available.

You'll see results in a couple of weeks or less, but if you go out and binge, you'll take two steps back, but you know that.

Stick with BCAA, glut, and a pre workout and post workout if you take one for now. Once the diet kicks in you'll find that, that alone will help you lose bf. If you need to lose additional bf, then you take something else. You need to give a diet a chance first. It works, just be patient. Everytime you change things, you're basically stating again.
As far as the super pump, I change my pre-workout drink every two months because they don't work after a while. This happens to be the one I'm trying now. It's ok. I liked better Beta Nox, but like I said, after a while it stops working. If cell max is not working, then don't take it.

Ok, Awesome.
I kinda figured that about milk, thanks for clarifying.
Lol, do I ever feel like a tard about the oatmeal, no wonder I was soo full this morning, I measured uncooked.. I'll def. have room for the egg whites tomorrow..

I won't be binging, no worries there, Im done going in circles- its time for results. :)

Thanks Than- that would explain why cell mass wasnt working for me after a bit. I'll keep switching it up or just cycle it.

Hi- figured id post a quick note.
I've been ill all week, ( yay flu season!) so I've avoided the gym like a plauge ( havent been since sunday ).Been trying to get AS MUCH R&R as possible & its slowely working its course out of my body..
Kills me to have to stay home & rest, I feel myself getting soft, not so much putting on the weight but simply maintaining w/ the diet Than has layed out for me. Which I LOVE btw. I bought a food scale & tho it feels a bit anal every night weighing out food for the next- I'm NEVER hungry anymore & I have a new found love for sweeeeet potatos! :)
Thanx a million Than.

Sorry you're ill, LG! I know how you feel; I've been taking off from the gym as well for this week and maaaayybe next week. I feel like a fat cow, but is all in our minds. Once you go back, everything will be back in place.

I'm glad you're sticking with it. Yes, it's defenitely anal, but it works and you'll get lean with it. If you're loving sweet potato, try organic yams; it'll feel like you're cheating all day long :-)

I hope you'll feel better soon and at the gym by Monday..

Thanks Than.
Yes its a terrible feeling- getting soft. I want to sooo badly get back into the gym, but know its not
in my best interest..so its the couch & soup. Probably until monday..

I'll check out the organic yams :) thanks!

Hey, glad you're feeling better and back at the gym.
No, you wouldn't be droping muscles with that! I'm glad you lost 2 lbs. However, keep an eye on it. I don't want you to lose more then 2 lbs per week. If so I'll give you
more food. :verygood:
Good job, LG!

No weight loss to report this week.
I've been feeling under the weather again- so missed a lot of the gym :(
Going get a split set up so we are training mon- wed-fri & weekends. Any suggestions ( and keep in mind I cant do chest...doctors orders).

Sorry you're under the weather. Try to stick with your diet that way when you go back you didn't gain weight.
Fell better!

Thanks Than-
I did stick to the diet, its been 3 weeks of eating like a champ & Im def. feeling the good effects from it! :)
If I wouldntve gotten sick & been able to get to the gym, I wouldve seen some weight loss. Buttt I managed to maintain my weight only gaining back a lb.

Starting the new training split this week & convinced the man to incorperate complex's once a week :)

One question though- what can I sub. chicken with, as I can see myself getting board sooner or later w/ it- I made turkey meatloaf last night & it was delicious- would that work?:qt:

Hey LG,

Turkey meatloaf is fine as is any protein as long as you keep the macros on it. As you become more consistent with it, you'll find that you'll feel better, less hungry, will look better and when you cheat, your body will bounce back easer. Hang in there, you're doing great!

Thank Than.

thats great to hear. I can only bake so much chicken at once! lol

my body is responding nicely to cutting back @ the gym- probably needed the down time...

I'll keep you posted with any progress.
I squated 150lbs.( YAY ME! 50lbs from my goal) last sunday & screwed my knee up a bit- anyone know of anything to help with joints?

Post stats tomorrow. :)

Congrats on the squat..

How's your weight going? I know you took off for a bit, but you were on target with macros.

Thank you Thank you!

Weighed in today : 133lbs. 24.1%bf
I lost an inch in my bust & an inch in my waist.

Were doing a challenge at work- body goal challenge, the pot is 350$$! Im wondering what is a realistic goal for me for a month challenge like this?

Im thinking of a bf% goal, but whats attainable for myself?

Thank you Thank you!

I'm guessing you'll be 127 lbs at 20-21% bf, providing you're losing 1.5 lbs per week. Is that how much you have losing per week?
The incredible shrinking woman!!

Thats about what Im losing a week- so, I'll set my goal to be 20% bf for Dec. 3/08.
I'll add in some extra fat burning cardio - I discovered the rowing machine at my rec. center ( cool lil gym in the complex where I live), it really busted my ass- 30 min. of that & I really feel it in my back today..

Keeping the diet totally CLEAN ( i must admit, ive been cheating here & there) and keeping the workouts spaced out.My body is responding nicely to the new routine- my strengths havent dropped at all ( suprisingly)..in fact, im pushing harder for them to go up uP UP!!

Thanks Than :)
I couldnt have done this without you! The days of me complaining of hitting a wall are behind me.....for now..until the next plauteau! :) Many Thanks!

You're getting there. Keep working.
It's good you're changing your cardio. Rowing machine is a great cardio workout. I sometimes do it and it kicks my butt.

Thanks :) again..lol

Feeling 100% better from the flu. Been tracking my clean eating.
Should I step up the cardio closer to the end of this challenge?

LG, Depends how much cardio you're doing. If it's 5 days a week would be good. Don't do more then 45 minutes a day as you'd start tapping into muscles as you burn longer. When I need to burn that extra lb of fat, I add 20 minutes in the afternoon, but no more then 3 days. You can also take a fat burner the last month of your chalenge. I'll start Lipostim3 soon,(Omega)but is taking a while to get here. That's an alternative; I heard good things about it.
Can you keep me posted as to how you feel through the process?
I want to make sure you burn effectively without burning yourself out.

Ok. I have a just cardio day- where I do 45 min., but last night when I went to do my hiit for 20 min after doing back, i felt as if i was going to die!! Im wondering if the no explode could be giving me this affect? My sides split & I just cant do it..:( wtf is up w/ this?

Still eating really good :) Its gotten a LOT easier!! No salad dressing was a bit of a challenge, but I managed to get over it. Now if I even taste sugar I get all wiggy & weird..& then the crash..soooo not worth it..

I read somewhere that No explode is pretty strong, so maybe that's the cause. You don't have to try too hard, just a fat burner to expedite things a bit, but what will make you lean is the diet and if you continue to be consistent you'll always have a great physique. In other words, don't let yourself go once you've reach your goals.

awesome, thats really good to know.
I will stay consistant. My initial goal is to be super fit, but I also wanted to be at my best when I went for my BA- so I wasnt just another meaty monkey gettin her tits done..i wanna be the whole package...
your such an amazing help than.
Gorgeous photo btw!

Great! You're definitely the whole package.
Thank you! It's from a magazine spread I did a couple of years ago..

I had a cheat meal tonight, so I had some dates, which I love. All that sugar is burning the roof of my mouth and I have a sugar rush. My reasoning was that it was a fruit and not a cookie. It's not worth it! I feel sick..

Omg! you know your a pro when..lol
dates for a cheat!! I cant wait to be just like you!

And thanks Than- I will post photos this weekend. I weigh in tomorrow!

Sometimes I have a cookie or a glass of champagne. But my cheats are usually dates or extra food. Depending on how I feel. I just go by what I crave; is not like I'm being deprived. That said, I am very disciplined..

I've noticed! And you know, I am starting to see more & more dicipline show up each passing week w/ myself. Its like aquiring a taste for certain things- the more you have it, the more accustomed you are to it- the more other things seem bizarre.
The girls I work with are looking at me like im crazy- 4 weeks of eating the same thing..and no, I am not sick of it yet..I see change, I see abs, i see colar bone, i see progress... so i'll be seeing the same things in my tupperware without any issue :)

I remember saying to you sometime ago that little by little you can be more and more discipline and at some point you don't crave foods that won't help your physique, and that'ts what's happening to you. You are going to be just like me!
Keep getting discipline because not only will you always look good, no matter how old you are, but I find when you watch a woman seating eating healthy food is a lot more attractive then watching a woman eating junk.

The model in my avatar was only 32 years old and I was 51 and you can't see a major difference. That's due to taking care of myself. No junk goes though these lips ha!

Anyway, send me some pictures; cant wait to see what you'll look like in a coule of months..

Thandie-
Your right! And I really really do appreciate you taking the time out to mentor me on this one on one basis. Its made a big difference in so much. Suddenly my dreams of one day competeing arent so far off. :)

My weigh in went as follows ;
weight- 131.9
bf%- 23.9 ( didnt lose much here this week..)
bust- 32
waist-27 ( no loss here)
hips- 36

We had a bit of a cheat this weekend- panago. It was delicious, but I felt so horrible after I ate it. Physically, Mentally & Emotionally.
My cheats will just have to stick to- a granola bar or some cottage cheese w/ berries every now & then.

I'll get on the progress photos sometime this week & email them to you again :)

Oh & yeah, you actually look the same age or younger than that model! wow!

LG, are you still losing 1.5lbs per week?
Let me see if I remember. Pro 125/carbs 100/ fat 25?
Let me know if that's the case as I may adjust your macros...

Than-
Yeah Im averaging that weekly. My bf is dropping a lil by lil too.
And yes, Im following those macro's.
You think im losing to quickly?

No, you're not losing too quickly, but somehow I thought your weight was 131 the last time you post it. But, I'm abviously wrong and it was probably 135 or so..
You're good!

LOL. I did weight in @ 131.9 - pretty much 132 on Saturday, Im losing in my bust- of course!
But with my pizza cheat, it shot me back up to 133... :(

Got it!
Try not to cheat till you reach your challenge, besides when you get you breast done, you most likely not be on these macros. At first you may not want to eat (or not) and then you'll be hungry craving things not included in your current meals. It won't be horrible because it will offset with the days that you're not hungry. However, try to be good now. Don't get me wrong; you're doing very good. I'm just giving you a little push, Lol!

Ok! No more cheats till the end of challenge! Gotcha!
hey, you know what your talkin about- I totally trust your judgment :)

I've got 4 weeks till the challenge end.. im sure it will be hard to not cheat- but i can do it!

I'll keep you posted!

This is a good practice for you because when you're competing, you can't cheat at least 4 months before comp. Besides, you're almost there and you'll feel a great sense of accomplishment..

Your so right.
And once all the "poison" is outta your system,
you really dont crave it at all.. I love that feeling.

I love how you put a positive spin on everything for me!

Absolutely; I always say that. Once you get used to not put junk into your system, you don't crave it. If you keep teasing your system with crap, you'll always crave it. It does feel great, because there're no worries. I don't have to hope to be cut, I know I'll be cut, when I want to be cut.

you stayed clean for at LEAST 4 MONTHS??!?!!

:faint:

you stayed clean for at LEAST 4 MONTHS??!?!!

:faint:

I remember for at least 5 months. It's not as bad as it sounds. Once you're determined to do something it gets easier. Besides, the most difficult period of staying clean is the first couple of weeks. Once you make it through, it gets easier. At some point, you stop craving cheat meals and you think you can stay like that forever, but you really can't. We're creatures of habit..

Wow! That'd be a good challenge...i should try to avoid cheating, starting w/ weekly, bi-weekly, monthly... it'd be good practice..

I know I can do anything that I want to do, if I put my mind to it, but sometimes my sweet tooth drowns out my willpower!! lol

First- you don't have to go from 30 to 180 degree in a heartbeat.
Second- it all depends on what condition you want to go into a competition. Even if I go in competing against myself, I still want to kick my ass the next time..

I also have a very sweet tooth, but as I said before, the less you show restrain, the less you crave it. A year from now you'll look back and say "Wow, I'm actually showing a lot of discipline I never though I had.

Your right. Over time anything is attainable!

Weekly weigh in: 131.2

Unfortunately, we can't lose bf by body part. By getting leaner, you'll lose some boobs and some hips. You'll look awesome nontheless..

Back at er tonight- Back & Abs, 20 min. cardio. Tomorrow, Arms & Abs, 30 min. cardio. Friday- legs.
Then i'm outta town for the weekend- its the hubby's bday! :) Hope i dont fall off the wagon.. too bad..Lol

That's because it's not about cardio. It's all about your macros.
I'm glad you're hanging in..

morning ladies-

well, shame on me. I made it to week 3 without doing much damage.. but someone brought chocolate kisses to work... and you know the "cravings" a girl can get when its "that time" for her... :(

I'm afraid this week was a total write off & climbing back on the horse ( pms free) next week..

How do you all control the insane sugar cravings during this "period"..haha, so to speak. I read that it is because your brain doesnt have the same acess to seritonin as it normally does, causing us to feast without consideration.. :(

I weigh in tomorrow, hope it didnt set me back too terribly much.

Hi-
Checking in.

Im up 2lbs from my week of mis behaving..:(

Weight: 132.1
Bf%:23.7

I'm gradually getting back down. That weekend out of town really set me back..but I'm back @ it!!

Hittin' the gym hard & feeling fabulous again!!

:)
