Oatmeal at Starbucks.

i have a confession...i once worked there for 2 years.

pretty cool gig...

I really want their insurance and a free pound of coffee a week. Often one of the baristas just gives me their pound though! they even write a love note on it to me with a sharpie

For real though...here in the Seattle area they are a huge employer. corperate as well as store.

yeah, i worked there primarily for the health care benefits... the pay wasn't that bad, though...for a poor undergrad.

after tips, i made ~$12/hour, drank about $30 of drinks a shift (primarily iced venti, iced tea lemonades). met a lot of cool people working there...everyone from cops, lawyers, professors, other students, new gf, etc.

but if you work at a busy store, expect to work your ass off.

Starbucks needs to pay their fair share of taxes. I bet raising their taxes a good 10 or 20 basis points will help them give their employees more benefits.

At home it's an economical superfood.

Now it's a daily offering at Starbucks. People will be chowing down on it while speeding down the road. :) Wow.

Plan ahead people!

At least their choices are getting a little healthier.

i was eating my oatmeal while driving to the office this morning lol i left the tupperware container in my car and when i got back in at 6pm, the entire car smelled like maple & brown sugar (yummy)

This is great news since I go there like 2x's a day and now I have another place to stop if I need a quick bite to eat! Hello CM
