Possible Concerning Blood Work Results... Please Help

colorado1975

New member
If you are knowledgable with blood work results, would you please take a look at my results and let me know your thoughts? I am concerned with some of the figures. I did this test via Life Extension so no doc was involved. Depending I feedback, I realize I will probably have to check in with a doc as well here. Wasn't certain where to post this one so pardon if this is a duplicate for you. A little background:

37 yo
5'11
192 lbs
Bf 10% (ish)
Working out for the past 15 years with some breaks (running, weights, etc.)

Finished up my last cycle in the beginning of december:
1-13 test propionate 75 mg day
2-7 trenbolone ace 60 mg day
10-12 trenbolone E 100 mg day
1-7 masteron 50 mg day
6-11 Avanar 80 mg day / 100 mg day week 10+11
6-11 Provironum 50 mg day / 100 mg day week 10+11
2-13 aromasin 12.5 mg eod
2-7 and 10-12 caber .5 mg e3d
3-13 HCG - human chorionic gonadotropin - - human chorionic gonadotropin - - 250iu 2x week

I started TRT after this cycle at 160mg test testosterone cypionate/week (2 x 80 mg per week). I have had low test prior to my first cycle. 2 years ago it was at about 330 (348-1197) and this past september it was 339. My doc suggested 200mg test testosterone cypionate once a month but I know this would have been a bad route to take as one injection per month would be a roller coaster ride.

Also, mid December I started the following SARMS 8 week cycle::

1-8 s4: 50 mg day = 25 mg in the AM and 25 mg six hours later.
1-8 osta: 25 mg day dosed once in the AM
1-8 gw: 20 mg day dosed twice a day - 10 mg in the AM and 10 mg twelve hours later

Thank you!

Hi Colorado1975

I'm not a GP or medical professional, and so please don't take my words as gospel. However, I've been on TRT for over a decade and have a basic understanding of hormones for men, particularly, those on TRT from hypogonadism after testicular cancer. I am also a science degree qualified SHE nutritionist. While I can't speak on all aspects pertaining to diet and nutrition, I do know a bit.

First off...your cycle that finished in December is pretty advanced, especially considering the amounts of drugs involved and the types employed. To be honest, it's no wonder your blood results are all over the place. Having said that, the results in themselves are pretty common and expected with long term AAS use at high doses.

Your iron, red blood cell count (RBC) and haemoglobin, iron, haemotocrit, and platelet count are all to do with the erythropoietic effects of testosterone(s). By nature they can increase the amount of erythropoietin hormone, which in turn increases RBC's and haemotocrit/platelets, basically all the other stuff RBC's are surrounded by. In turn, haemoglobin will be raised because it's responsible for shuttling the red blood cells around the body, because they carry. Many body-builders who use steroids/AAS/Testosterone experience hypertensive blood pressure, generally due to the fact that all the factors discussed increase the volume of blood in the blood stream (increased blood cells).

So the counts of:

Iron...162
RBC...5.15 (4.14 - 5.80)
Haemoglobin...16.3 (12.6 - 17.7)
Haemotocrit...46.6 (37.5 - 51.0)
Platelets...470 (140 - 415)

...might be all caused by the RBC increasing effect of T. Over time these should normalise, to at least slightly over mid-range, providing you maintain a HRT dose.

WBC could be due to a comparitive response to increased RBc and platelets. Or it could have been fighting a virus at the time of your blood draw.

Testosterones are sterols/cholsterols in themselves, so this again isn't unusual to see in a blood panel. A good diet, low in saturated fats, and high in polyunsaturated oils, and monosaturated oils, like olive oil and fish oil, etc., will help elevate HDL cholesterol and lower LDL cholesterol. Eat or supplement your diet with Omega 3. Mackerel, sardines, pilchards, and kippers are all good sources. You might also consider Flaxseed oil as an efficient supplement. Add Milkthistle and Liv 52 supplements to your diet too, and get some activated charcoal tablets. Don't consume the charcoal at the same time as other supplements or drugs, becasue it might reduce their effectivness. Charcoal attaches itself to substances in the body and drags it through the bodily systems for evacuation. It is often used as a treatment for overdoses and food poisoning, and insect bites, in hospitals etc. Charcoal will help your body get rid of build ups of toxins and chemicals it doesn't need.

Testosterone counts speak for themselves really. You're taking exogenous and high amounts of AAs and even though now you're on a low maintenenace dose, it still takes time to get levels back to a more normal range considering the durations of longer estered drugs. I can;t comment on the rest...sorry. If I've got anything incorrect or mixed up, please accept my apologies. Maybe someone with a lot of knowledge on these assays could chime in?

Hope this helps in some way.

Thank you so much for your reply and thoughts here. It is VERY much appreciated my man! I have much to learn! My comments in red.

Hi Colorado1975

To be honest, it's no wonder your blood results are all over the place. Having said that, the results in themselves are pretty common and expected with long term AAS use at high doses. I know - my cycle was way too advanced for what I am looking for and where I am at. I swear, I only learn the hard way in life. I got too excited from my previous cycle before as I have never felt better in my last half of my life. I dont need to be on more than test and one other compound at most really....and even then I dont 'need' to be on that as I am not a body builder for a living....just looking for help in leaning down and adding some quality muscle....they certainly did this but I went overboard.

With this said, would you advise against using EQ? I am getting more in to crossfit type workouts and was thinking a low does of test (200mg/wk) with a moderate dose of EQ should I ever get my levels back to a safer place where I can do a cycle again. I dont know though....are my levels ever going to be technically 'safe' again to run cycles? maybe this is part of the debate on cycles as they are never really 'safe'....

Great to know about the charcoal...I have been taking it for the past 2 months WITH all my other supplements....and Anti-Ds for that matter.....I attributed my increased depression over the past couple months to the fact of being off cycle however this could help explain it as well. as for other supps you mentioned...I actually have been taking all that you have listed for the past year.
