Another school shooting anyone have details? 27 dead I heard

This is just horrendous. I'm still in shock over it. I've not turned on my news since I found out about it. I've got a daughter that age.

I haven't watched any news on it either. Tonight I put on MSNBC to watch Lockdown and instead it was news coverage of this horrendous tragedy. I lasted about 120 seconds and had to switch to Parking Wars.

How can anyone watch the news about this without falling apart??

does anyone else think it's sketch for that dude to be giving interviews not 24 hours after his little girl got blasted? I don't see any other parents volunteering for press conferences. This might be the jaded fuck in me speaking but I wonder if the networks threw money at the families for someone to talk. Frankly it's disgusting, why are we putting kids infront of the camera?

i think a better option would be to have a uniformed cop in every school...sure he couldn't be in every classroom at the same time, but the response would be quicker than calling 911.

we have uniformed cops at all of our schools in our town....

this will be stepped up to several uniforms on Monday
there is an emergency meeting being called to add bullet proof glass/doors to all of the lobbys where you've had to be buzzed in since my 16 yr old was in K

friday was terrible...there wasn't a radio station in the state that actually played music

today there was a toy drive for surviving children...we brought two big stuffed animals (soft..one had long ears to hold) and two nightlight turtles....
there are vigils everywhere
