I did, and was quite prepared inside the apartment. Candles, flashlights, batteries, fully charged EVERYTHING, enough food to last a good 4-6.5 days. But didn't even consider the fact that we'd have a ridiculous gas shortage. Lesson learned. Now I can't even get to Breezy.

Been through some pretty heavy hurricanes in my semi-short life and never had a gas issue before.

I keep five gallons of gas in the trunk of my car for emergencies along with road flares, and a first aid kit.

It wasn't a hurricane when it hit.

An ice storm was my example, the storm surge goes away quickly, sub zero temps persist. We lost power after an ice storm for two weeks followed up with temperatures that fluctuated between -10 to -20 degrees Fahrenheit at night; The cold is deadly.

Yeah, I have the first aid kit, road flares, even that fucking weird hammer that instantly smashes the window of your car door should you get stuck or submerged in a body of water of sorts. But, no gas. That's my next move, then.

we don't keep fuel around because it would me my luck evan with stabil it would go to shit but the car that's best on gas gets fueled. the 4x4 gets fueled, generator gets topped off. and a 30 gallon drum gets filled..which just goes into cars if it isn't needed
