Total motherfuckin n00b right here. I barely pay attention to shit, and didn't take this one seriously. No generator, no nothing. Power went out Monday night. We put up with it until today, not really believing that it would take that long to get it restored. We live amongst upper-middle-class northern white people, this shit isn't supposed to happen. After freezing in the dirty dark for over two days, not working, it was time to gtfo. I had to get back to work and get clean, so we found a BnB 60 miles north. It's comfortable. Every mothercuntish hotel room in our area was booked (duh). No idea when power comes back, hopefully within a week. We were awesomely prepared.

I should have been back in LA by now. ;/

Two weeks without power is pretty common where I grew up and that's from a common ass winter storm, bunch of pussies live on the coasts. How about you buy some extra food and water while investing in a camping stove, bunch of pussy ass bitches.

right..except it wasn't winter, wasn't predicted to be more than 6inches of snow and I had zero food because we were supposed to be getting the CO on my house after it was rebuilt from the fire.
and we had water ...hot water even in the rental...
trying to keep the baby warm with a short fireplace and wet firewood was ths biggest challenge

was pretty psyched to get the generator and just squat in my own house.
