Any mechanics here?

The compressor is not kicking on.I have power at the switches in the dash, all the fuses are good but I dont have power at the compressor. It loses power in between somewhere(maybe a inline fuse?) The repair shop said the condensor is fully charged.

I had already tried that, there was a relay beside the a/c one and I swapped them out but didnt fix it.Appreciate it all.

If you have the correct 134-a charge, thermostat is good, no leaks in the hose assembly, and fuses are good, there's a 98% chance your compressor is done. I had to replace mine last summer. Found a refurb'd for around $70.

he said he's getting no juice at the compressor...so i'm guessing that he tested the electrical supply and the there wasn't any...no juice...magnetic clutch inside the compressor doesn't engage...no a/c.

can you turn on the a/c and the defrosters at the same time? try that and see what happens. even when you're not using the a/c (like during the winter), when you have your defrosters on most vehicles are wired to cycle the a/c periodically, just to keep things lubed and operating properly...so they don't fail during the summer, when you need them.

i think you have some sort of eletrical issue and if you've checked your fuses and relays, it could be a gremlin (e.g., short) that will be more difficult to track down. have you done any dash work to your car (e.g., stereo install)???
