Outrage grows at "No God" Cemetery

You must spread some Karma around (ie give karma to other members too) before giving it to PICK3 again.

I'm gonna catch you all with karma...I'm growing strong

Texas Lawmaker Calls for Congressional Probe Into Ban of Christian Prayers at Military Funerals - FoxNews.com

“The Obama administration continues to try to prevent the word ‘God’ from being used at the funerals of our heroes,” said. Rep. John Culberson (R-Texas).

LOLLOLOLL @ FOX News....I didn't read the article but my opinion is...

If the service person listed themselves as religiously affiliated then they should receive the appropriate burial; It's the one exception, including providing chaplains, I have for my tax dollars going to support religion.

Such a waste of money to even go through a cemetery, buying a plot etc...

I request cremation and placed into the cheapest container. I want to be mixed with some herbs and spices, season a bunch of meat and veggies with it and have a huge cookout with friends and family.

The funeral industry should be outlawed, it's a huge scam. There's no good reason to disembowel and embalm dead bodies, put them in vaults, and bury them. They should be treated like medical waste.

I agree that burials are a waste, but I'd never tell anyone what they need to do with a deceased family member.

They can dry them out and smoke them for all I care -- everyone deals with grief differently.

Cemeteries are such a huge waste of real estate.

There are more humans alive today than all who have lived and died before. What if everyone got a formal burial? Where would we put them all? It's insane.

No exceptions if you want to be a heathen. You have to commit one way or another.

Not really, religious belief is not only a personal choice but protected by the constitution. Therefore, basic religious services need to be provided to people serving and their burial paid for by taxpayers; The average citizen can attend whatever services they choose.

What it should do is steadily increase the cost of burials until people make the cost/benefit trade-off and decide to do something differently.

That's what I like about free markets. A burial might be worth $0 to you, $1,000 to me and $250,000 to some little old lady who is already missing her husband.

It's impossible to gauge a person's true priorities otherwise.

If I'm buried in some kinda stack configuration I don't want to be on bottom for all eternity

just sayin'

Funeral is a huge racket for sure

My parents gave me great instructions upon their death and I want the exact same thing.

Cremate, then throw a huge party with all friends and family in remembrance.....that's the best Tribute IMHO.
