-Author thinks this is bad, even though she is a liberal pro-choice kind of gal
-She has an unintended dilemma since she is pro choice, but doesnt like this particular choice

How true...well put. I can't imagine depending on a guy for my financial well being. I wouldn't feel like I had an equal voice in the relationship.

I like that.

It's hard sometimes cause I think, in general, people have a hard time letting down their guard and being real. No body wants to get hurt. I think that with some of the things that have happened in my life over the past couple of months, it's easy to get jaded. I have to remember to still give people the benefit of the doubt.

My .02...where men have the desire to take care (in a practical sense) of his own and protect, women have the same instinct from an emotional sense. It makes us the nurturers, the emotional caretakers. We are more intuitive and sensitive to the emotions and moods around us.

Nef's post was almost exactly where I was gonna go with this.

We are your safe place. Men are taught not to show emotion and I think that the right woman can be a good outlet for a man. We are also your cheerleaders. A man with a supportive woman in his life will live up to his full potential way better than one with no support.
 
A man comfortable enough raised with just the right combination....can also provide an emotional base like no other "A safe place". Obviously its different than your nurturing standpoint but trust me, when you find a guy willing to be real and be in tune with himself as well as all of the curve balls life has to offer, you will see what a true amzing man looks like. Funny as it is, that's based on no physical attributes. Now let's go further and make it even harder to grasp, imagine that same guy like this whotakes care of himself, and financially can take care of himself as well. They are there u just need to know what to look for
 
What is the definition of support from spouses? My idea is working full-time, kids full-time, grocery's full-time, Target full-time, doing all the house work, and outside the house as well. I could go on for paragraphs. But my point was...Mine bitches that I dont give him support?? ^^^Is not all this considered support?
When do I get my support or praise for "doing it all". Just becuz my payck is less than his...does not give him a right to ask for support for that reason only

Point out what it would cost the two of you to hire people to do all that stuff if you had a heavy workload job that would merit a bigger paycheck, but leave you without the time to fulfill those other duties. I bet it'd be a real eye-opener.

These are very rare to find, They may be alright on the outer shell and then that chips away...then what?
The perfect one is there...just search wisely. :blow:

I'm not talking about any of that. I am talking about allowing him to be himself. Accepting him completely for his attributes and his faults. We get so caught up in life and being superwoman that we forget that all he wants is the attention of that woman who he fell in love with.

We could do all that stuff and a man may still stray to another woman. They do it, I think, because they like the way that woman makes him feel...important.

That's the thing, thou. There is no such thing as perfection. I hear this all the time. I'm holding out for the perfect one, that unicorn. But they don't exist. You find someone you have an amazing connection with and you take the good with the bad.
 
I jump in the shower and hit the road, she doesn't live too far from me. I get there, she opens the door and her hair looks like a birds nest and no makeup, she just woke up when she text me. I still hit it and was eager to do so. but christ, sometimes you just get too comfortable with one another. I told her next time she better run a brush through her hair.
