Does Good Come From God?

god actually comes from good. See? Just take one "O" out of good = god.

I miss the times when AAP would get involved in the religion debates.

Where's Lestat anyway?

God does more evil than Satan.

I like to point out that government has done more evil than any corporation. For some reason, demonizing the free market is popular even though the free market is more democratic than any government.

Again, there is some truth to what you're saying. However, go back to the first 50-80 years of the Industrial Revolution, and look at some of the evil the big corporations did. Ie. Carnegie, Rockefellar, Morgan, Gould. Everyone of these men were nothing but "totalitarians." They're the ones that spawned "labor union" (which I hate) and goverment regulation on businesses, anti-trust laws, and minimum wage (maybe all unconstitutional). As for goverment being evil, I believe it depends on what administration you're talking about. Wilson, FDR, LBJ, Hoover, were all dictators of course in the name of democracy.

There are really only two presidents worth anything since Lincoln. Calvin Coolidge 1922-1928. Coolidge never gets any respect, actually the majority of Americans never even heard of him. There was 2.5 to 3% unemployment during the 20's. Real income rose 35-40% while he was in office. The GNP grew 7-9% a year during the 20's, 1% inflation during his tenure. The highest income tax bracket was 22% the lowest was 0.5%. He left office with a huge surplus, which Hoover squandered. Henry Ford lowered his price on his Model T from $3,000 to $300 by 1928 80% Americans owned cars. Prior to Coolidge, 20% Americans owned cars. Using cars as an example is important because building them requires all different types of material. Hence, enhancing almost all industy.

While in office, Congress tried to socialize farming two or three times, Coolidge vetoed the bills everytime( which was brilliant). Remember what Hoover and Roosevelt did to farming (socialized it). Which we are still feeling the effects of their policy today. Paying farmers not to produce (subsidies).
Which only benefits big farmers, the small farmer is still getting a raw deal. Argueably, you could blame them two for our trade deficit or certainly attribute them for starting it.

Coolidge had impeccable diplomacy skills. America was on the verge of going to war with Mexico, he made them our ally. The man is barely mentioned in text books, which I find retarded....He is your "free market" guy.

The other president, well..... another time or day, but ya know! The Great Communicator....
