When I was made a mgr at Countrywide. I made more money than I ever will again in my life, had a decent amount of freedom and free time, but was on call 100% of the time, was responsible for fuckups in branches that weren't even mine if anyone in my branch was involved in a random convo about a deal, was constantly being thrown under the bus by both active and former employees, had higher-ups trying to bump me out of my position so they could give it to a friend, had my own production to worry about, and was the wrong religion to really have anyone get my back here. I'd have nightmares about work regularly and hated waking up every day.
