Protein Absorption

You can absorb as much as you can eat.

However, with massive intakes, particularly of fast proteins like whey, much of it will be converted to glucose.

It depends on the individual and how much lean muscle they have and how active they are, also if they are taking steroids. Every(body) is different and to say 30, 40 or 50 grams would be crap shoot. A 150lbs male will not absorb as much protein as say a 250lbs male.
Your body will tell you if your absobing it or not, a good indicator is gas. Yes farts! Then you can use some Ginger root or Aminogen.

so you're saying if you fart a lot that's a good indicator that you're not using most of the protein???

I would agree that ginger root helps w/ protein absorption.

Also depends on what your body gets used to. You can't jump from 100g protein to 200g all of a sudden? You need to do it gradually.
 
CAN U ACTUALLY GET FAT BY DRINKIN WHEY AT NIGHT BEFORE BED/ ALOT OF GUYS CUTTING DO SO ...I KNO ITS NOT ANABOLIC BUT CAN IT BE CONVERTED TO GLUCOSE HENCE FAT?
 
If you take in more calories than you burn in a given period of time (we typically use 24 hours for simplicity), then a net gain of fat can occur.
