Do you asspirate for glute injections. (Couldn't help using the pun) Yes or No.
Again this is only for glutes. I don't personally as I think it's not necessary. Maybe I should? Worst case, what could happen?

Pinning glutes works well for me. I aspirate everytime and it's been pretty uneventful until my last pinning of my last 15 week cycle.

When I inject, it's as smooth as a knife through butter. This last time, I felt an unusual pressure but not pain as the needle broke the skin. I pull back on the plunger expecting to see the few bubbles that appear when aspirating. Instead, blood had entered the syringe. I felt no pain, but realized I hit a vein. Needless to say, I cut that cycle short by one dose. I should've replaced the needle with a new one, but didn't have enough knowledge of pinning a gear/blood cocktail. After all it was my own blood.

If I hadn't aspirated, I may have pinned my gear directly into my vein! I still haven't researched all the info on that topic but I'm glad I'm here to share.

i voted no ,i used to everytime ,have nt in a long time ,but i know konw i should and would advise anyone to aspirated.

:(Dam shibs chill a little bro. This isnt you so go sleep it off and come back the real you dude.:)

I dont do gluts. Every time that I try it feels like I pull something big in my back, getting twisted around. But whenever I pin I aspirate. I think I forgot only once so far.

Glutes is actually the only time you need to aspirate when injecting. Anywhere else is not needed. I know this because Im majoring for my medical doctorate.

Bloody Hell, mate!
This is like a motor vehicle safety specialist telling us to wear a seat belt only when driving on certain roads.

Is it just me? I've heard of people hitting veins in several places. Even though it may be unlikely.

I say, better safe than sorry or worse. Use a mirror if you can't see your ass. :)

I do, as a matter of good practice, no matter where, and even on sub Q... And just for everyone's info: I DID hit a deep vein once in the glute, so it IS possible!
