Hct max B4 donation?

Vets I could use some guidance. I’m interested in knowing where your comfort level with hct is before donation? Assuming platelets are in range.

Some labs say 50, some 54. I don’t think I would be comfortable over 53. Am I crazy for letting mine stay around 52 when platelets are under 400k?

I’m wanting to wait due to ferritin levels getting crushed by donation.

i donate whenever i get the chance. it is great for our community and people really need the blood

plus i get to see several things like cholesterol, bp, pulse and covid anti bodies every time for free. so its a win/win

hct levels dont worry about them

if you are rough range and even under 400k go donate you'll feel better after

no ferritin issue will happen
