Q re squatting form?

When squatting, is it ok for your knees to go over your toes/feet?

Or are you meant to keep them behind?

Does it really matter?

Toes over knees can not only cause you to "fall" forward in you motion but can put undue stress on the patellar tendon. To correct this practice pushing your hips back before you bend you knees. This will start you off correctly. Also try not to look at youself in a mirror as you tend to go where you are looking. I look up high on the wall so I am looking up I should go up. Also think of it as thrusting your hips forward not just straightening you legs to squat. Keep you chest high and pushed up to keep you back flat. Think about the whole motion like sitting down in a chair or on a bench. You push your ass back then come down. How many times have you tried bending your knees and then sitting in a chair, you kind of have to flop back into it, much like when you squat.
