Zoloft withdrawal.

Anybody use this stuff? A friend of mine took it for a year and then just stopped taking it and he's finally back to normal after two weeks. He was unusually tired and said something about shocks and jolts. He was freaked out at first but seems to be ok now.

Half life would indicate that 2-3 weeks ramp down is about right

Ok, I'll bite, what have you been taking? I had been on Wellbutrin and Celexa, with Viagra as an *ahem* enhancer, to counteract the side effects.

Of course, sex was one of the things I was depressed about in the first place.

That's what I asked him. He said that his doc told him to just stop since he was only on 50mg. Maybe that's not alot?

I just recently dropped paxil "cold turkey" Never gonna do that again. talk about hell. i felt like i had the flu i was puking and sweating and shaking. bro you gotta come off these things right. i am on effexor now hope this stuff is better

You have to taper off these drugs. Over at least a month of tapering, no less. The shocks experienced are from the brain synapses misfiring. (great meds huh?!) The withdrawals are because there is a serious lack of brain serotonin.

I tried paxil (made me too tired), wellbutrin (didn't do JACK SHIT), prozac (worked the 1st time, didn't work the 2nd time), and now I'm on nothing.

Tapered off on all of them.
