Zealotry has nothing to do with con artists taking advantage of the desperate. If that were the case every state lottery and casino should be classified as a church.

I think we're more likely to notice how annoying proselytizers are when they are promoting a belief system we don't happen to agree with.

There's a lot of truth in that statement.

Generally they're just well intentioned and trying to spread their idea of the truth.

Perfectworld is an example of this. I disagree with him on about every topic, but he's well intentioned and genuinely believes the misguided nonsense he preaches.


I only take issue with it when they try to legislate it into my reality. Otherwise stop tryingto shut people up for holding views differing from your own.

Although I point out that practice in this country at least is predominantly a liberal phenomena
