friend that died this past august at age 18. He was one of the smartest students out there. But he was very different than the average smart kid. He was not nerdy or cocky about his achievements or unwilling to help just to get HIMSELF ahead (like many are). he was the greatest person. Nicest guy you would ever meet. Though he usually sat with the asian crowd it was NEVER unusual to see him hanging out with a different group or friend every time you saw him. He was the type that everyone was drawn to. Punkers, racers, jocks, etc. ALL loved him. He was always willing to help you no matter who you are and if he knew you or not. And he could always make you laugh. Great believer in God too! (sounds perfect doesn't he? he was..)

Muhammad Ali.

The man never gave up. He stood up for what he believed in -- very courageous.

Plus, he has some of the best quotes ever.

Arnold was my first kidhood idol, ever since I saw Predator. I thought, this guy's awesome. I watched all his movies from that point on. It died down a bit when his movies started to suck though. Then when I started lifting after highschool I looked up to him for a different, better reason. Growing up I also read anything I could find about Elvis. He was one of the last old school American badasses. Ex. he and his crew were all sitting in the dining room of the Hilton in the 70's. He was trying to get their attention to no avail as they were being too loud/unattentive, etc. so he took out his gun and fired a few rounds into the ceiling, which def. got their attention. He also gave cars to people for nothing more than to see the look on their face when he said it's yours.

Both of the above are larger than life figures whose personalities I found fascinating as a kid and still do today.

Ghandi:

He was boarding a train once while it was slowly moving, as he stepped up he lost his sandal, without thinking twice he kicked off his other one. When someone asked why he did that he said because he wanted whoever found it to have a pair.

Arnold, but not for his movies. He's one of the last self - made men and was rich long before he won all those titles. He came to the US with nothing and built himself up.

Sun Tsu and Miyamoto Musashi.

For having the fortitude and drive to completely devote their lives to the study of martial prowess.

Did you know Hitler was a house painter with a following as well.

My Mom - for being strong.
My Sister - for remaining sweet and kind and not letting the world get to her and make her distant, hard & cold (like her big sister can be at times).

Women (in general; whether I know them or not) that learn from their mistakes and life lessons. After falling down and getting bruised they put themselves first and love no one else (w/ the exception of their children) more than them. Women that are independent and strong; yet are not afraid to cry and be vulnerable.
