I've been lifting weights for about 2 and a half years. I used to concentrate mainly on hypertrophy (8-12 reps), but now I've been doing strength (2-6 reps) training for at least 6 or 8 months. I've been reading, and apparently guys who are pro/amateur bodybuilders, or just bodybuilders in general, go though cycles of Hypertrophy to Hypertrophy+Strength to Strength to Hypertrophy+strength to HST to HST+Toning (15-25) to Toning to HST+Toning, etc.
How should I, or how do most ppl space their workout in a given year? For example, should I do 4 months of each, with a 1-2 month merging period?
