My hubby has a good friend who was just charged yesterday on two counts for failing to remit state sales tax. ($194,883.00)

He was charged with 2 fouth degree felonies, and aggravated theft, a third degree felony!

LOL...Well....Since he's a stupid friend I'd wish some brain cell implants for 'em. hehehe

I'm guessing a huge fine of around $10-15K plus jail time is in his cards though.

He also screwed the local bank - Bank took all his landscaping equipment/trucks/plows, etc! Auction begins next Saturday.

How long do you think people should serve "actual" jail time for the following offenses.

Armed robbery - I think 10 years
Burgurly - 3 years
Drugs (personal use) none just sent to rehab.
Dealer - 2 years
Rape -25 years
murder - 30 years unless wife is killed for cheating on husband then just 1 year
tax evasion - 6 months
car theft - 2 years

Now these are all first offenses second times go ahead 1.5 times original three times caught doubles it.

What about ya'll? What would you set the jail time at?

Armed Robbery - 20 years.
Burglury - 10 Years.
Drugs - None, should be legal.
Dealer - None, should be legal.
Rape - 10 Years to death penalty depending on the circumstances. For example: 10 Years for date rape, death for raping a child.
Murder - 10 Years to death penalty depending on circumstances. For example: 10 Years for killing a cheating spouse, death for killing someone you don't know for no reason.
Tax Evasion - I only want a value added tax so there wouldn't be any.
Car Theft - 5 years if you get it back in one piece. 20 years if it's chopped.
