you ever throw away pennies?

I always throw them out or tell the clerk not to give me any. Such a waste of space. I wouldn't mind if they rounded everything up to the nearest nickel as I'm really not that anal regarding a few cents.

i was cleaning out from under my couch this morning and i threw away 3 pennies in addition to several million of those little plastic army guys, 4 balls from the hungry hungry hippo game, 4 broken crayons, and 5 string cheese wrappers.

Don`t walk over dollars to pick up pennies.

lol i read couch as cooch.- made the findings alot funnier

i only throw away pennies when i am literally throwing them... like the people who are advertising stuff on the side of the road... human sticks... or signholders.

They might be worth more than a penny, but who the fart is going to buy that old penny? I've got a load of old coins, no one has ever expressed the slightest amount of interest in them. I'd sell them in a heartbeat by the way, while coin collecting may appear to be a glamorous hobby, it can take you through hell and back.

The penny is costly to produce and maintain. It hurts the American economy.

The penny has been around since around the late 1700's. Back then, you could actually buy something with a penny. Nowadays, it's worth about 1/100th of it's original value.

What can you buy with a penny?

A penny saved is a penny earned, which is, coincidentally, about how much it costs the U.S. Mint to make a penny.
