You know the cat that scratched me the other day? Well, she has somehow gotten stuck in the walls of my condo. I can't figure out where she is but she is definitely stuck inside the walls. I have looked all around the outside of the house for an entrance and crawled under the crawl space looking for her as well.

This happened to me a couple of months ago at my dad's house. My own cat had gotten into the attic and somehow gotten lost between the floor joists and couldn't find her way out. I took out a light fixture near where whe was and she flopped out.

This is a stray cat. I have been hearing her plaintiffly wail for the last few days and would go out and couldn't find her. Well, now I realize she is in my walls somewhere because this morning she screamed and thumped around in the wall as if she had chewed on a wire or something. I heard her meow since then but not in the last 2 hours or so. I hope she didn't die in my walls!

What can I do now to find her and get her out of there without destroying the whole damn house?

can't read your post, what did you say?
Well, don't read this then.

Oritiz is a crazy loser who should have gotten some therapy while he was in rehab to deal with his deep seated aggression and feelings of inadequacy. I give him 3 weeks before he is off the wagon and laid up in a crack house somewhere.

I have no aggression sweetie, and crack is not my drug of choice.

Tweaker, crackhead, whatever you are, I would hide my purse if you were around.

Assuming you rent, call your landlord first. Point out that if that cat dies in there it's gonna stink up the whole complex, BAD (and trust me, it will S-T-I-N-K, that smell will get into EVERYTHING).

If the landlord can't be reached or won't do anything ASAP, call either animal control or the SPCA, whoever you have in your area. Cats can last a long time without water, longer than us, but much more than four days and the clock starts running.

My cat is too fat to get stuck in places.
She isn't my kitty. She is a beautiful and friendly little stray. My fear is that she died in my walls b/c she isn't meowing anymore.

ANYONE have any suggestions how to get her out? You think those pest control people would know how to get her out without destroying the walls, etc?

Thank you!!! I didn't think of them. They would take her away though. I don't want her to get euthanized. I'm going to go call right now.

THanks so much. K coming your way, smart girl!

:nerd: :taco:

They might not euthanize her if she's hand tame, she will go for adoption like any other stray. If she's not hand tame she's too stupid to live feral anyway. One things for sure, as things stand she's going to die, slowly, terrified and possibly suffering, where she is now.

I learned a long time ago, Heather, you can't save 'em all. No good mourning the ones you don't/can't adopt.

Shoot! They closed at 2:30. So, I called 1 800 critters, and they are booked up solid on wildlife rescues until Monday. Humane Society is monday through friday. I went through the phonebook and called every pest control place I could find. None of them do live animal removals except the 800 critters. DARN!

I don't rent. So, there is no landlord to call. I'm getting stumped as to how to remove her. I think she died. :worried: I have not heard her.

Okay, I know you're banned but maybe you can still read this.

Three days is a long time, you'll have to make a hole in the wall about a foot above where you think the cat is/was between the joists (the professionals would have had to, as well). Assuming you have plasterboard walls, it shouldn't be too hard using a utility knife (mind wires) to cut a hole out.

Anyway, since you sort of knew where she was in the original post, that's where you work from. Holes in the wall can be fixed "relatively" easily (in the scheme of thing), dead cat stinks wicked putrid and that smell just gets into the whole house.

If you're absolutely positive she didn't get out, then you really want to find her, dead or alive. If you're a homeowner, trust me, no time like the present to learn how to properly repair wallboard. Just try to cut the pieces out neatly so you can use them to repair the hole. It would have been handy to use a service because you could have charged the removal and repairing the wall to your homeowners.
