I posted a pic of what this was a little while ago.
Essentially it looks like the top of a pushup except your feet are not touching the floor.
I managed to hold this for 5 seconds solid today. Both legs out.
I will post vids when i get them.

That's a tough position, especially for a full grown guy. Just wondering, I'm gonna assume you're under 200lbs. If you are that's still a very impressive display of static ab strength and tricep lockout, and if you are over 200lbs that awesome. Good job.

thats freikin awesome man!! i stopped working them and have been focusing on my gym time more. i will try them on thursday when i get back to tumbling (no more jumping though, only power moves). 5 seconds is a long time!!

planches dont work the tris, its almost all chest, forearms, shoulders and the posterior chain. some biceps, because the hands turned down and about under the hips- depending on how spread the legs are. its like pushing open a heavy door with a low handle, but you cant lean down into it without changing the form.

Much thanks man,
im between 195-200lbs, depending on the time of day. Usually 200 by night time.

Yep. The hardest hit places IMO are Glutes, Shoulders, Abs.
Its still very saggy, like my feet are only 6 inches of the ground. So that might change as it gets higher.

just lean forward a bit, your feet will come up. is your body flat or do you bend at the waist? the glutes are definatly hit hard. mine cramp up when i try, along with my hips

Its alot like the way gymnasts do russians.
alot of the floor videos on this site, the guys do them. Basically planche circles.

I hold them in the same style the hold them when they do that move.
So its more hollowed then it is piked.
