Wth?

PHATchik

Studio Gangsta
OK, a little background first. My roommate from last year and I started off fine at the beginning of the year. Due to some things, we went downhill quickly. A lot of it had to do with her boyfriend who is now her fiance. No, it wasn't that I didn't get along with him. I did actually really well. It was some other stuff that went on concerning them. Long story. By the end of the year, we were barely speaking.

Ok, jump to this year. I saw her once last semester on campus. In the last few days though, she has imed me once just talking about stuff. Then, one day last week she called me asking me to go lunch. I had eaten already thank goodness so I declined. Then tonight, she calls me and asks me if I will do the guestbook at her wedding. WTH? We have spoken maybe 4 times this year? And she wants me to be part of her wedding so to speak. I really don't feel comfortable being part of it all. In fact, I don't think I really even want to go the wedding. How can I nicely say no thank you? I asked her if I could think about it. Or should I say yes for old times' sake and go to the wedding? (please say no)

your hearts not into it so no, don't go it would be a waste of money...

but you could sit down with her for lunch and see if you can be friends again? just a thought....

how close are you two? do you have the years with her? or did you girls have like the tight ass bond from a short time friendship? if you had the long ass friendship going then I would suggest doing it for old times sake, otherwise, tell her the truth WHY you won't do it and decline.

No, we haven't been friends for years. We only got close around the end of our Senior year after we decided to room together. THe only time we were tight was during the first 2 months we lived together. After that, it slowly started growing apart. So it's not like there was anything major that was lost.

then I say you should decline because there really isnt a bond between the two of you. just because you were roommates, doesn't make you best friends, or does it?

We were close for a while there. But it's long gone. And it was short-lived. Now what's the nicest way to say no?

:arrow: <------------ or ---------------> :finger:

maybe :bigkiss: kinky or :toilet: but never :shoot: because of
 and your 2

NO NO NO. We only lived together last year. This year, I went private after living with her. But I am getting an apartment with a friend either this summer or next year. I'm not sure why she asked me to do this. We're not really even friends anymore. Just acquaintances.

champ is not paying attention, i am

and im watching my new fav. movie Girlfight please tell me where i can find a hot female boxer so we can date

dude, I walked away from my pc, gimme a break, gimme a break, break me off a piece of that phatchik bar! anyway, I would recommend declining the invitation to set up the guestbook because you are now acquaintances. I mean, do you know all of her friends and relatives? this position should be left to someone close and DEAR to her, am I correct?

I know her family basically well. I met them while I lived with her and got to know them. They still like me. (I'M VERY LIKEABLE YOU KNOW ) I don't think they know a lot of what went on with me and her. It's just weird that all of the sudden she is wanting to renew our friendship or whatever the hell she is doing. Only over the last week or so.

well, I KNOW how it is to be in a situation where you don't want to be in, and it SUCKS. just look at where you are going to put yourself before you make a decision. :fro:

ill take that for a dollar

or something to that effect, i really have no idea what i just said

:friends:

BTW, we are getting a wee bit off topic of what I originally posted about. I'm hoping the day crew will have some ideas about this also.

She's already got the rest of the wedding party. And I know she could find someone else. I really just feel like such a hypocrite if I was to say yes.

:D

Aren't weddings fun though? A good place to meet girls, or maybe not in your case. Is it scheduled for the weekend? If she asked you wouldn't that mean that she considers you to be somewhat of a good friend? You had better have that lunch with her and maybe she will tell you why she has asked you.

hey im the only stalker here....

2 possibilities
personally it sounds like a mental thing, she's looking to mind fuck you

she's getting married and she's gonna try and fill the day with as many snide comments or looks as possible and try and make you feel uncomfortable

or

she's decided to bury the hatchet for her special day and has invited you along

personally i'd go with no.1

you can either say your doing something else, or that you feel that level of contact isnt something you are comfortable with after your bust up and if you went the tension might only serve to spoil her day so it would be best for everyone if you flew to london and spent a few nights with me :D

lol.....be honest if you have to as she will only try and bend you by saying she'll be nice, and the only way she will submit is if you give it to her straight
