So I have dental insurance through work ($50 deductible, preventive stuff covered 100% and rest 80/20 with a yearly $1000) I had my molar crack last week or so and now a filling was lose, I call all dentist in my damn network and like 80% of thee bitches are not taking new patients, those who are had me wait until December, I finally find one that will take me, I go in, this assistance chick who clearly doesnt know WTF she is doing takes a zillion fucking xrays (which come out crooked and the dentist scolds her cuz she's an idiot) then the dentist comes in and in like 10 min TOPS examines my mouth, pokes my gums tells me I need 2 root canals and 2 crowns plus 4 fillings (keep in mind I had a full work and check up in March) then he takes a look at the lose filling and BAM pops the filling right out leaving me with this huge hole, then he left, his assistant put some very weak paste (Im guessing they did that to force into coming in sooner for the work) then I go outside and get told how much just the crowns and RC will be, after my insurance runs out I have to pay $2005 (this does NOT include the allegedly needed 4 fillings)

This is fucking insane, I'm flying my ass to Costa Rica for thanks giving weekend and have my brother do all the work for free, I took a pic of the small fracture and my brother said he needs to look at it but that it's almost freaking impossible that I need a crown for it based on the size.... do all dentists ass rape you here?

for real?

Yep. But only one molar. The tooth was filled, and I ate a hard piece of candy (NO jolly rancher:D ), and cracked/fractured it like a fault line. lol I took the tooth out in three pieces.

I went to the dentist 2 or 3 months ago. Everything was fine. I hadn't been in 10 years, even though I had insurance. I attribute it to using the Sonicare toothbrush. I've had cavities in the past and one root canal/crown, but since using the Sonicare, I've had no problems.

I highly recommend one.

Bunch of toothless fools from West Virginia are posting in this thread...

I go to the dentist twice a year. The assistant is hawt which is a plus.
