WTF is going on with my Heart??

It happened to me when I took large doses of vitamin c, blood thiners and alcohol sometimes.

It stopped now though thank god, I think it's called arethmeya.

As stated above be totally honest with the cardiologist. He will be able to give you an exact diagnosis and hopefully it will not be something serious. Hopefully you'll be back to normal soon. Although, heart problems tend to be for life, but at the very least he'll get you on the right med. not something that someone else says works for them.

If this has been happening for 2 years then you fall under the class of chronic atrial fibrillation. Anything over 1 year is considered chronic and it won't go away on it's own. You definitely should go to a doctor and he will probably put you own metoprolol(Lopressor). It's caused because basically there are two nodes(places that send an electrical impulse to make your heart beat)and the main one, which is called the AV Node(atrioventricular) is probably depolarizing(sending an electrical impulse) too often. The Lopressor will slow the conduction down and will get your heart back to normal. You really need to go to a dr. about it because this causes your atria(top two chambers of the heart) to not pump blood very well, and this causes the blood to pool in the heart and can become stagnant and this can potentially cause a thrombus that could lodge in your lungs or somewhere else throughout the body. We talk about arrhythmias a lot at school, so I understand them pretty well. So, definitely get it checked out.

please do not take the advice of any of the above posters except the ones that recommended you going to see a cardiologist. i am sure they mean well, but this is rather serious and you should not be seeking medical help on an AAS website! :)
but this could be many things. without the proper testing i could only guess at what it is...it could be a run of PVCs, could be 2nd degree heart block (type I or II), or one of many other arrythmias or like suggested above, mitral valve prolapse (see website below for signs/symptoms of this). you need an EKG and 24hr halter monitor, EST and echo all performed by a cardiologist.
check out the following website to listen to different heart sounds. yours may sound similar if you have a murmur. click the auscultation drop down box and select the one you want to listen to.

also, check out this webiste for a description of mitral valve prolapse...

good luck and let us know what the cardiologist finds.

Any advice, or experience with this, please share bros...

Here is what is going on, but first a little background on the situation. My heart will be going along, and then all the sudden, pause for a second, then restart with a hard THUD beat. This has been happening for the past 2 years. I can pinpoint the precise time it started and that was when I took some Turkish Anadrol 2 years ago. I had never before had any such skipping with my heart until I was into the A-Bombs around week 4 or so. I stopped them immediately but I've had this arrythmia or whatever you want to call it ever since. I've seen a doctor about it, and he said millions of people have this and its nothing to worry about.

So with that said, here is why I'm posting. Most of the time, the skipping is infrequent, and doesn't really bother me. I've learned to live with it. However, today in the gym, it got WAY out of hand. Keep in mind I'm in my 6th week of my cycle which you can see in my sig. I'm on the bench and while I'm pressing the weight, my heart is stopping, restarting, stopping, restarting. Those of you that have this will know what I'm talking about when I say when it skips, it takes a little of your breath away. So I'm pressing weight, having my heart flutter over and over again, and I'm thinking WTF is going on here? I stopped and tried to just walk around and I could feel just flip-flopping over and over. I can even put my fingers on my neck to feel my pulse and feel it stop, re-start. Should I just fight through it? Is something wrong here? Why all the sudden is it going off like this? Do any of you know if there is anything in particular that can set off the arrythmia like this?

Do any of you bros experience anything like this at all? Should I just not worry about it? Thanks in advance. Sorry for the long post but it was really freaking me out. I just want to be safe. These visions creep into my mind you know, while I'm there pusing the weight, of the lights going out for good...
I've had this since 1973, beta blockers control is very well. I was in boot camp when it started and didn't say anything cause i didn't want to get kicked out of the military, so I lived with it for about 5 years. Went to a doc later and he put me on the beta blocker and over time stepped the dose down to about 5 mg a day, which is very small. I forget what he called it (about 25 years ago) but he said alot of people have it all their lives without any problems. If I take a stimulant like ephedrine it will act up but no real problems. I'm 49 now and pretty active in the middle of a test only cycle and no problems. Go see a doctor for your own peace of mind and see about the beta blockers....good luck.

Exactly, go to doc to be sure you are ok, i tmigh tjust require a simple med which can mean diference between tragedy and normal juicing!

It sure is nice to know I'm not alone in this bros... I'm def going to see a cardiologist. Just found one online in insurance network...

Early indications sounds like an arythmia; which can be fatal if untreated.

Whatever it is, it's not good and I hope you get it checked out ASAP! :worried:

An EKG should be able to show what's going on. By the description it sounds like PVC's. How often in a minute or between regulars beats do you feel it? If it's every 2nd or 3rd beat go to the hopital NOW.

Bro you're not alone. I'm in the same wagon. The difference, since nobody told me WTF I have in my heart, I did my own research. I mean, they told me what I have but nothing else. In your case, go to a cardiologist and take all the necessary exams that will lead the doc to a final diagnosis.

According to what you say, could be very similar to my experience. Mine started around 3 years ago. I was at work, in my desk and felt like a weird skip in my chest. I was like wtf? Then again, and again and again...put my fingers in my pulse and discovered these skipped beats. The heart beats 2 or 3, then skip one; then beats 2 or 3 again, skip another one and so on. I was freakin out!! I thougt I was going to die seriously. Went home, and passed after a couple of hours. After that day everything was normal. Then like 6 months later, another big arythmia attack. The same thing while having dinner. Pretty scary. My hands were sweating cold, I got anxious, felt very very bad. I had that death sensation but was like a torture...because you don't know if you are goin to die or not and being in that situation really kills your brain. That time lasted all night long and passed the next day. After that I went to the doc. He gave me a reference to the cardiologist. I had a holter (24hrs), ECG, echocardiogram. The only problem was that during all these exams I didn' have any skipped beat, so of course the doc said everything was normal. They told me the cause of these irregular heart beats could be stress, use of stimulants like drugs, caffeine, lack of sleep, alcohol, etc. I was happy that at least all the exams were normal. AFter that, there was a long time I didn't have any skipped beat. Then like 6 months later, I woke up in the morning with one of these attacks again. This time I said, fuck! I'm going to the doc right now to have an ECG done and have that shit on paper to know wtf it is. The doc was traveling. So I went to ER. When is something related to heart they put you first on the list. The paramedic asked me what is wrong and I said "take my pulse". He started feeling my pulse and after 5 seconds looked at me like saying "what a fuck is this" without those words coming out of his mouth, I replied "yes, that's the reason why I'm here" I knew what he was thinking. I told him immediately "I need blood pressure checked, beats per minute are ok, and I need an ECG immediately to register those beats" He did what I said (lmao) and told me wait here, the doc is coming immediately to take the ECG. The doc did his job. While having the ECG I was concentrating to have as much as skipped beats to have them registered in the paper. Doc came back, with the ECG and told me "don't worry, you are completely normal". He told me from what the ECG said that day, I have PVC (Premature Ventricular Contractions) It's nothing related to the phisiology of the heart. It's an electrical problem caused by other agents such as stimulants, stress, drugs. He told me even coca-cola could be causing me this. He told me millions of people have this condition. Some of them so smooth they don't notice they have skipped beats. He told me to try not consuming any kind of stimulant for some time. No caffeine at all (not even sunkist), no cocoa (chocolate) no drugs, no stimulant herbs, eat well, sleep well and see how I respond. The doc was very nice. It was an old guy and talked to me during a long time trying to relax me. He gave me a lot of advices. He told me meds and procedures are not necessary for this since is not dangerous for the heart or life-threatning. Sometimes meds or procedures could be worse. He told me I can live with this and have a normal life. So I started my own research on PVC and he was right. They are something "normal" I don't have any risk having them, I can live with them. After that day, I haven't had any of those attacks again. (that was like 14 months ago) Instead, I have skipped beats sometimes in the day. It doesn't care what I'm doing. He skip one beat and that's it. There's a discussion forum related to PVC.

http://www.raptsoft.com/cgi-bin/yabb/YaBB.pl?board=;action=login2

It's pretty nice, because people share their experiences there as well new techniques to live with this everyday.

Now the million dollar question is. What happens between PVC and AAS?? I still don't know. What I know is that dbol at normal doses gives me very strong skipped beats. Nothing extremely dangerous but some nasty side. I'm trying to find that out.

Also, I'll be going soon to a new doc to have new exams done and have a second opinion. Just to be safe.

There's a procedure to fix this problem. The try to reproduce the arythmia in a laboratory and they see where's the exact point where the electric impulse is skipped. Then they introduce a cateter by your leg up to the heart and they proceed to burn that point of the heart. Supposedly, the skip in the electrical system stop forever. Since this procedure is pretty new, it has some risks. For example, if they burn more than it's necessary, you could wear a pacemaker for the rest of your life. So the risk is high. The procedure is worthless.
I've read taurine helps you a lot with heart rythm. I haven't tried it yet.
Good luck and have that checked. You need to determine first what you have in order to know what procedure you can follow.
