wrong board,,right guys to ask

in Jan I talked a buddy of mine into working out,,he worked hard and stayed with it,,he leaves to go back to the states next week,,we are both working overseas,,,,he wants to know what kind of gains hes made on the bench,,i could care less about maxing out so I really dont know how many days off or how he should warm up to get a true gauge of what he can do,,,i do know he works out with --
flat bench-3 sets 6 reps-210
incline " " -155
decline " " - 195
dont remember his buteerfly weight,,,,,thanks for the help,,,Im assuming he is somewhere between 255 and 265
 
so what the hell are you asking? Do you want to know his progress, well we can't tell you that, if anyone can it is him. Does he want to know his max, then fucking do a max bench. if you are going to ask a question, do it, don't just tell us a story about your friend lifting weights, not the most interesting thing in the world.
 
ok for all the guys who arent that smart heres the fucking question!!!!!

how many days rest before the max day and how should he warm up to his max lift,,,,
ex,,(which stands for example),,,135 ten times,,,185 8 times ,,,,225 once then max,,,etc etc,,,,,,hope that is clearer,,,
 
Here's one I know. I used to powerlift pretty seriously. To get the best results He should not lift any weights one week prior to his attemt at his max.

I am going to guage his max bench based on the info provided at around 275lbs.

So he should strech about fifteen minutes. Do 25 reps with very light weights(5-10lbs) to warm the tendons. i.e tricep extensions, flyes, dumbell presses.

After his joints feel limber.

Follow this exactly.

115 x 8
135x4
185 x 1
225 x1
250x 1
275 or what ever he can handle.

The first two sets are to further warm up the body after that it's taking gradual steps to mentally warm up to the max weight.

Remeber this is to max out it's not a workout, rest 5min between all sets after the 225lbs

He should not try to max out again for at least 3 months
 
usually when i max...it is cause i got a wild hair up my butt on the way to the gym. so i just do a normal warm up and do sets of one rep to max...then do my normal routine.
