Writing "return to sender" on package

Does anybody think this actually works?

To my logic, it would almost look more incriminating if you're going out of your way to write that on the package right as soon as you get it. Perhaps if you brought it home, wrote it on the package then, and then let it sit (and got busted as it sit there unopened) it may help.

Personally, I don't pack a sharpie on me when I go pick up my regular mail. If I do get a package that's not mine I end up doing the RTS thing while at home, and then it usually takes me a couple of days before I actually send it off.

Not only that, but any fed that's been at this a while will probably have seen this tip.

I'm not trying to be negative or anything, but it just seems to me to be MORE incriminating if someone sees me pick something up from a PO box, write RTS on it, and then instead of actually dropping it in the outgoing box (which they should have there, very handy) taking the package home.

Thoughts?

Buy or read the book "legal Muscle" very good informative read. Its understandable but detailed. I am sure the elite books would also have info on this.

From all that I read...... its a good idea but not full proof. How I look at it is this- If the DEA/Police want you a return to sender on that package isnt going to stop them. Now when it goes to trial IF IT EVER DOES (Highly unlikely if you take the right security steps) a jury might take "return to sender" in your favor. Its not like you are going to get in more trouble if you do write it, so what the fuck.

I mentioned this to a couple lawyers my old girlfriend know's and they laughed at it. They said it might work but if the pack's there for more than a day it isn't gonna do shit for you probbaly. Just don't sign for anything and be careful of the sources people recommend to you, seem's to be quite a few scammer's floating around lately. If the fed's want you bad enough they will get you wether you write that on a box or not, just keep your order's as small as possible.

How about using a flat screwdriver instead of a sharpie?

First I think its the worst idea in the world to use a PO box, its just asking for trouble. When its sent to an addy you know you wont have to sign, so you wont have to open the door, going to pick up at the PO you gotta get the card, go pick it up and its just a shitty position to be in. I have read legal muscle a few times, and if anyone has ordered gear and has not read that you should....

Some times mailing to house isnt a option. The UPS store doesnt make you sign and no card.

I had a UPS box a few years ago and they sure did make me sign for anything that was too big to fit in the box.

I may be way off here as i am from the UK and our laws are different but surely if you sign for a pack then you accept it because it was delivered to your door addressed to you BUT you do not know the contents so they can not be attributed to you unless you say they are yours?

Unless the LE can prove you ordered that specific product then it could have been sent in error. 99% of the worl you are innocent until proven guilty so it is there job to prove you ordered.

Even if you don't sign for something it is the same is it not?

That's why you get the biggest box that they have. Ive never had trouble with any packages fitting, and never had to sign a thing! They even signed for a package for me, thats an added bonus. Whoever is there can sign that it was received, and then you come in and pick it up in the middle of the night.

wrogun thats my understanding too- i mean a visitor can sign for packages over here- all ur signing is that someone took the package from the postman

Was way too much money for the biggest box. I think I got the next to smallest box they had and it was $64 a month, the biggest box was well over $100 a month. Waste of money, I have too many other options these days to warrant paying that kind of money just to receive one package or two over the course of a few months.

They told me if the box was to big they would just put it behind my box and could pick it up anytime. I just have to call and tell them to put it out and I have a key for any hour pick up. They said if they dont have to sign....then I dont. We will see in about 3 days. I piad like 60$ for 3 months.

Yikes, prices are skyhigh where you are. $36 a month though isnt that much when you consider taking the risk of having to go in and sign for something.

Agreed and would make more sence than leaving return to sender on it IMHO

Still maybe its that different but can't see how
