wrist size

Holy cow colin! LOL this is hilarious. My ankles are actually bigger than yours at 9.25, yet my legs are so miserably tiny. I measure in at a pathetic 22" apiece. Yeah, I think there's more to this story than bone structure.

actually it depends where I measure it

Its 9 inches where its smallest in the ankle area, but 10.25inches on the actual boney/joint area - the bit that bulges out.

Which is it?

The smallest part of your ankle is the measurement, so not the bony part.

Mine are 10.5" my wrists are pretty average at 7"

I swear that my wrists have become larger over the past 18 months of strongman training...

Personally I think the whole "wrist size/ growth indicator" is complete BS.

the rule of thumb, so to speak, for whether you are small/average/large framed, is to grasp one wrist with the fingers of the other hand.

If your thumb and middle finger don't meet at all, you're large framed/"big boned".

A little gap to a little overlap, is medium.

A larger overlap is small framed.

What, if anything, it actually means as far as ability to train or put on mass easily, I don't have a clue... :)

I found this a long time ago and thought it was intertesing. Put your wrist size in and it calculates how big the rest of your body should measure up. I put mine in and its pretty damn close, but maybe a little smaller than i acutally am in some spots.

Interesting, don't think it's designed with those that work out for mass in mind :) But you could add a 10% increase to the calcs.

Neck is right on. My thighs and calves are larger.
Scew them and their 29.6 waist measurement :) (yeah, my wrists are small)

my wrists measure at 6.75inches but I have no problem in gaining mass if I eat enough. right now I weigh about 185 @10-12%bf. For 5'7" i think it is fine, I could bulk a lot higher if I want to but I prefer to keep the weight down for boxing

i'm not surprised. i have the smallest wrist of anybody here LOL. damm i'm screwed. i'm 5'8 1/2, 180 or so. started out at 115. i'm only 23 and have been training for only 5 years. hopefully i'm not close to my limit yet
