Wrestling practice day 2

Sub-Zero

High End Bro
Platinum
second day of wrestling practice...wasnt as hard as my 10-2:30 one on saturday, except it still bea tth eshit out o fme....didnt feel like dying after the first 30 minute cardio warmup.

i post this here, because we did some lifting today...my partner and i decided on bi/shoulder/back (i dunno why its grouped like this, because i mostly felt everything on my triceps that was for shoulders)

the workout was so horrible (and i dont mean im ashamed of my lift numbers, even though i am) that im not even going to post the numbers.

i dont feel anything except my chests (couldnt even do the 50 pushups all the way cause i was still sore from the 50 last practice) and my legs (wrestling stance for an hour hurts like a beeyotch, almost fell down the stairs)...i think i may have over estimated the weight for some stuff, and under estimated for others...my muscles feel weiry, but not shot, like they should after lifting....they didnt even swell up:mad:

Hey bro. . where do you wrestle??

Its a great sport. . .probably the most difficult.

Don't expect to make gains in strength in season. . .lactic acid build-up is at the highest!! Focus on conditioning and muscular endurance.

If you are in better shape and can last all three periods. . . you can defeat your opponent regardless if he has better technique.

Focus on strength during the offseason. . . right now you need to pick up experience from your tournaments, next the duals, then state duals, regionals, and state.

i dont think ill be making it to any sort of state regional stuff:p

i wrestle at bcc HS in MD, we got some fucking AWSOME guys , like state champs, and supposedly we are conditioned twice as much as any other team, and we are known for our endurance...
-but for the workout, shouldnt i at least FEEL it, afteR?

we can tmake workouts short, we have to chose and alternate from leg, chest/tri, and bi/back/shoulders.

from the chest tri, we have to piramed 12 reps, 8 reps, 6 reps 2 reps for bench, then do a max...then pick 4 other kinds of exersise

for bi day, we have to do seated dumbel press, (wtf is this in by day for?) and do 4 sets of 12, and then pick 5 other exersises

for leg day we are required to do squats, same type of pyrmeding as bench and i think 4 other exersise.

for all our extra exersises, we have to do 4 sets of 12, increasing the weight each time:rolleyes:

It's typical for exceptional soreness at the beginning of anything new and physical. There's nothing wrong with it, nothing to adjust.

If it persists after the next two weeks, maybe it's time to rethink certain things.

On a side note, I've been upping my take of L-glutamine and it has helped a lot for soreness. Spatts has said this helps her, as well.
