Wrestling Is Fake?

i will be the first to admit it, i do enjoy wrestling, but stoped watching it like 2 years ago, mainly because it started changeing and i couldnt find myself catching up with the story lines ect,
 
I dont get it.. I can see kids watching it.. but so ridiculous its unbearable.. Im not sure how any grown man (or woman) can find it entertaining.

Someone explain please???
 
Remember when we were kids and we thought it was real!!!! I could never figure out how they got the living shite beat out of them and not a mark on them after it!!!

Bro how can you even say that wrestling is fake? Those guys go out there for 20 minutes and get the shit kicked out of them. Then they come back with one punch and turn the match around and end up winning. If that isn't real I don't know what is! The Easter Bunny and Santa Claus and the Tooth Fairy are real too! lmao!!!!!!!!!!!! That wrestling has got to be some of the dumbest shit ever. First I don't drink cheap beer. Second I don't have a mullet. And third I don't wear wife beater tank tops. So I guess wrestling is not for me! ;)

wrestling isn't fake. yea there is a predetermind storyline and alot of time they arn't getting as hurt as they seem (exept in that video, thats ruff shit) but why should that matter. do you not watch a movie because people don't really die in it. i don't think brad pitt could kick anbodies ass but does that mean movie aren't entertaining. i just think its stupid that people dislike wrestling because "he didn't really hit him" or he didn't bust his head open with that chair". no, but who gives a shit. when they bleed, its real blood. and there is no way to "learn" how to fall of a cage or off a latter and not get hurt. take wrestling for what it is. entertainment. etertainment that is a fuck of a lot more "real" than tv or movies.
 
I am an independent wrestler...I go and do matches all around my state. Its fake in the sense of the begining and the outcome. Its not fake on the chairshots/tables/jumping from the ropes to the ground/and definatley falling off a 20ft ladder! I might have to show you my clips of when I wrestled in a ladder match. I was thrown/slammed off that ladder so many times.. They teach a proper way to land so it wond hurt as bad let alone f*ck your body up...but when you are out there for 20-30 min. you kinda forget those things. I tell you what else sucks...even the pro's do this..climbing a ladder on a springy like floor...when you get closer to the top it gets kinda scary and thats when you see the wrestler (jeff hardy has done this several of times) accidently fall or have the ladder go right underneath of him to where you fall on it. I have done this and lets just say the match ended a little earlier than what it should have been.

Its a great sport...watching it sucks anymore..too much B.S. ...but I recomend at least trying it...gives you a nice high.
 
Dont even try to tell me that those fake ass kicks and punches are real!! Youve got to be kidding me. Anybody who watches this insanley rediculous fake wresling and believes its real is a complete fucking idiot.
Everything about it is fake. The fake story lines, the fake fights, fake punches and kicks, the only real thing about it is that the whole thing is a joke.
 
what's funnier than a guy calling it real is a guy saying it's fake... something like:

"hey! the sky is blue!"

"the grass is green!"

"OMG! i never knew that!"

D'OH!
 
I am a pro wrestler, on the side, just for fun. I don't watch WWE or TNA. I go to, and participate in, several independent federations.

Most of the time the outcome IS pre-determined. Sometimes a particular wrestler might not want to go along with what the promoter mants them to do, sometimes tempers flare and it becomes a shoot (real or legit) fight.

All the moves we use are real, meaning that when applied with force they would cause anyone to tap out or experience serious physical harm.

Each chop, slap, dropkick, clubbing forearm and/or bodyslam takes it's toll. If you doubt it, sign up for training at any wrestling school. Hulk Hogan thought it would be a breeze and got his leg snapped on day 1 for his troubles.

I have suffered broken ribs, twisted joints and currently an umbilical hernia.
 
Are the moves and hits real yes,but do all they guys wrestling really hate each other like they say no. Grow up parts of it are fake like it or not.
 
wow, i think no one (ok most intelligent folks) here doubts the hazards... but it's different from boxing (for example) where no matter what federation it is, NONE of it is rigged. not to say that pro wrestling is easy... also not to take anything away from the men and women who do it for a living.

it's just funny when some guy says "you know what? wrestling is fake!" it's funnier than the guy who thinks it's all real.

and yes, i fully understand the hazards - from being throw on to the ring, outside the ring, getting hit by chairs, getting hit by your opponent (even if he's intentionally trying not to hit you hard while still making it look real) and worst of all, actually getting clobbered full force by accident coz someone had an off day... all that and more.
 
The money that the business has made me...not to mention the women...is NOT fake...All the negative people towards pro wrestling are just jealous! People in the business love what they do! I don't knock anyones profession if they are loving what they are doing and it is a moral and honest living.
 
There's a lot of other companies besides the WWE which has taken wrestling almost entirely out of the product. I don't work for the WWE and pro wrestling has always been a soap opera. It's a reflection of society at the given time. That's why it has been successful since TV was first invented and other shows have come and gone.

The only problem I see is that all the punches, the clotheslines, the whips into the ropes, and how often they throw two punches, turn around and then act surprised when their opponment gets up and hits them in the face.

Wrestling would be fine if their were better actors and better writers. It's similar in concept to a movie, but it isn't pulled off nearly as well as a real movie, so it just doesn't work for me.
 
The OLD ECW was hardcore, the new one is just abysmal.

As for the topic, no, Pro Wrestling isn't fake. The blood is real, the slams are real, the injuries (for the most part) are real and wrestlers will tell you that they are on the road 300 days a year and most of the time they wrestle in pain.

Outcomes and storylines are pre-determined, yes, but does that make wrestling fake?

These guys throw themselves into hell every time they get into the ring to entertain the fans. If you think that's easy then go and take it up and try it out. One chairshot and you'd be crying yourself to sleep.
 
It's diffentely fake why watch a couples guys rolling around in the mat when you can watch two guys duke it out in UFC?
