Holy crap, so my wife calls me at work asking if I was going home for lunch because she wanted me to check for a package at the house. So I go home and her car is in the garage...odd, why was she asking if I was coming home for lunch then. I go inside and she has two pregnancy test both showing positive... :goof:

She didn't want to have kids for another two years but I'm actually really excited, she is too but I think really really shocked because this wasn't planned.

I had to tell someone so you guys are the first to know

I'm scared, excited, anxious, a whole mix of things and most surprising of all really really excited; I can't believe I'm going to be a father.

We hugged for a while and she looked at me and a tear rolled down her face and she got a pouty lip and said "I don't want to be a big fatty"...lol.

What an incredible day this has been!!!

congrats broskey!!!!!

and the anchor is moving ever so slowly toward the side of the boat. :-)

nothing better in the world, nothing can really prepare you, it will be just OVERWHELMING LOVE, instantly. Wait and see.....

This makes it so much easier now to stick to the "I don't want to drink alcohol" aspect of my diet.

I'm going to post so many questions about maternity diets and food intake, BMR calculations for a pregnant woman.

Very exciting times ahead

He said wife not g/f, he's pretty much on his own for food, sex, etc. from here on out.

wife+baby = zero effort on her part in regards to the relationship

she doesn't have to now, he's nothing more than a video game controller, she can play him any time she wants.

congrats!!!

thats awesome. how exciting!

pics of the wife

thanks guys, I appreciate it.

Tonight we went to dinner at the restaurant that we had our first date at which is also the restaurant we got engaged at. She really enjoyed it. We talked about all the changes this will bring to our lives and how we both think we will grow closer because of it. I think she was most worried about me because I always came across as if I never wanted to have kids.

I told her I think its better that it was not planned. To try and plan a pregnancy is stressful and would anyone really say "yes I am ready"? It happened for a reason and I feel blessed and really excited. So many of her cousins have tried to get pregnant for months, some even years, me I'm like a sniper, one shot, one kill (or life in this case :qt: ) I will be sure to document the whole thing here with pics too.

Sorry Puddles she made me delete all the neked ones

You guys should feel privileged, you are the first to know before any of our family. She goes to the doctor on July 29 to find out via blood work that this is the case. Two positive EPT tests should be enough but before she tells any of the family she wants to be absolutely sure.

I'll keep you all posted on the Tartlet

Congrats, catch up on your sleep cause you won't be getting much after the baby arrives.

you god damn right he won't!!! Trust me on that one.

We bought 5 books tonight about baby stuff, god there is so much to know.

Don't lose any sleep over it now...you'll lose plenty of sleep after the kid's born.

What are you talking about? You shove stuff in one end and it comes out the other, really simple. Just look for the food at the store that has a picture of a baby on it and you'll be good to go.

I wake up everyday and my neck hurts from being turned to the side all night on my pillow. I wish I could sleep on my back. I should tape a tennis ball to my stomach or chest so I cant sleep on my tummy and hopefully form a new habit over time of being able to sleep on my back.

The one I liked the best was The Expecting Father.

Very happy and excited for you bro. Kids are a blessing. Congrats.
