Wow, Eggs and Oatmeal...

I just had my first ever good breakfast - 3 egg whites and a packet/bowl of Apple & Cinnamon Quaker's Oatmeal, with a multi-vitamin (don't have the mineral yet) and a tablespoon of flax...

I'll admit, I felt a li'l nauseaus at one point... but soon afterwards I just told myself that it was for a greater good, and forced down the eggs and everything.

One question though, the Apple & Cinnamon Oatmeal does have some grams of sugars in it... is that okay still? 12 grams, I believe, out of 27 grams of carbs. The other carbs are still present so...

I would try to get oatmeal that is regular, i.e. w/o sugar and you can add cinnamon and artificial sweeteners to it. But, for now, since this is your first healthy breakfast, you'll be fine....good job :)

Why don't you try making the bulkin shake I've been eating for breakfast lately if you don't like oats or eggs (I dont like either but love it when its made like this)

-2 packs regular quaker instant oatmeal (or equivilant oats) uncooked
-3 to 4 eggs, throw them in the microwave for a minute or two until they are semi hard
-1 tablespoon peanut butter
-1 bannana (optional, but makes it taste 100x better)
-1 to 2 scoops protein powder
-350 to 400 ml water depending on how thick you like it

Blend it all up...
You get a very nice spectrum or nutrients including complex carbs for long term energy(oats), a very wide spectrum of amino acids in your protein due to eggs. Quality fats from the peanut butter, plus a little protein and a lot of good flavor..
You don't HAVE to add your protein mix to it... but it helps crank the protein up and you get some faster absorbing protein from the whey.

It comes out to between 800-1100 calories depending on how you make it.... tastes great and it pretty filling... I can eat a shit load more when its blended up.

Mr.X said he'd prefer it without the bannana but it wont kill you.. take a look... The bannana REALLY makes a difference in the taste and texture.. plus it gets rid of the nasty egg smell...
I swear... since I started eating at least one of these a day.. my lean weight has been climbing like CRAZY

If it makes such a differnce in taste, then it's fine. Just to let you know, there is no ONE way to diet. You can look at all aspects :)...go on add it if you like it.

I've found that regular oatmeal mixed with water/skim milk and a good low carb protein powder is doable taste-wise.

Too many people believe that all the sugar in fruit = fructose. This just isnt true for some more then others i have to admit. But for example a banana's sugar is largely NOT fructose.

Btw, that shake 3-4 whole eggs AND pb?

If your looking for something a little cleaner use 1-2 whole eggs and 3-4 egg whites to make up the difference in protein without all the fat...

when you say 3-4 eggs and cook them until they are kinda hard, does it mean that you break the eggs and mix them in a bowl and then microwave it? If not, please explain how.

If you are making a shake w/ egg white, isn't it a bad idea to eat raw egg white? I am just a little confused, please explain.

I just put them in a cup and toss them in the microwave... I dont stir them at all
THrow them in the microwave for a minute or 2
The only major difference if you completley cook the eggs is that you will have to throw some ice cubes in the drink to bring the temperature down... steaming eggs smell nasty when mixed with all that stuff...
You can't taste the egg at all if you have the bannana and a scoop of PB in there

I absolutely love this drink.. there is no way in hell I'd be able to put all that shit down in one sitting if it wasn't all blended up in this shake...

For breakfast 1 have about 1/2 cup of regular oatmeal w/sweet&low+Cinnamon powder,2 whole eggs and 1 white. It keeps my full for a couple of hours, and it's healthy.
