Reality can really suck sometimes, but that's life. I don't mean to ruin anyone's morning, but then again, I wouldn't want to not share something that might motivate someone not to put themselves in a position of lifelong guilt over not doing something. I know that my experience that night will be in my mind if (God forbid) the situation comes up, and I need to make a decision... I'd rather it be my experience that I already dealt with, that motivates someone else, than for them to have to see what I saw for themselves...

adult, if it was my wife i'd die trying to save her

otherwise, if I don't think I can do it, I wouldn't. Like if people fell through open ice, I wouldn't be jumping in to try to find them cause I don't have the proper skills and shit. It just depends on situation, but I would try what ever I could to help..

do all firefighters a favour and dont go in after anyone unless your in a dry suit, within 15 seconds your useless and another victim we get to save. just call 911 ,sit back and watch the show
