i am being treated (have been for years) for acute IBS (Irritable bowel syndrome). Yes, i know -- gross. Don't back out now by saying "many"..............you said "usually" - that's MOST.

IBS is a Medical Condition not to be associated with "loose stools" due to chronic anxiety.

And I BROKE my back in a near death car accident years ago, and I don't think the PAIN is all in my head.

your pain is a result of an acute injury. I can't prove this, but I'd venture to say that MOST people that go to chiropractors and have chronic back pain do not have it because of an acute injury. Its non specfic and not treatable with drug therapies.
