Thus,the level of active HIV in their body is almost zero,or non existant..i.e they have no active virus to transmit(statistically speaking it would take a 1000 sexual encounters to have a successful transmision,if at all..);
Ask any impartial scientist,the HIV virus is nowhere to be found in HIV positive individuals,or AIDS patients.

Condoms,should still be used to prevent transmission of other sexually transmitted diseases

As one Red Cross source said, "That's comparable to passing a ping pong ball through a basketball hoop."
I asked about nonoxynol-9, and was told that it works IF it contacts the HIV. But friction, moisture, or breakage could all fail that, too.

HansNZ said:I would think you're statistically less at risk having protected sex with someone who's HIV+ than you would be having unprotected sex with someone you pick up at a bar.
In fact I would imagine that the chances of contracting HIV from someone who is positive through protected sex are a lot lower than from casual unprotected sex (the norm for most straights).
As a gay man it always interests me how heterosexuals need to stick their dick into something. Sex doesn't have to involve intercourse. So many heteros think that only intercourse = sex, just ask Bill Clinton. Most lesbians I know must still be virgins, hehe. In fact oral sex and mutual masturbation can be better. Stick to these practices if you are with someone who is HIV+
I answered "yes" to the survey.

You mean the chance that your too stupid to put one on or the chance that you are too cheap to buy a good one. Now here this ignorant people HIV cannot pass through latex. This is why we tell people to always use protection. You can fuck anyone with any disease as long as you use a latex condom. End of strory...Worry more about getting struck by lightning then getting AIDS while practicing safe sex.. 70% voted against. You voted this way because you don't know what the fuck you are talking about.![]()
princessofdarkness said:okay, this is what i know, if it's worth anything.... there are lots of STD'S that can be transmitted through condoms, HIV is passed through fluids therefore you can't catch it with a condom....crabs no no barriers through latex my friends![]()

NO FUCKIN WAY!!!!
even if she was so fine, i'd swallow my ego and walk away to the nearest bathroom to jerk off.
Kai Hvatum said:I have seen studies that showed that the with safe use of a condom there is no chance of contracting HIV. I have also seen studies showing that there is a small chance of being infected. Is one night of fun sex worth that chance?
NO! It's not even the fact that you'll eventually die that scares be about AIDS. Hell, I put my life on the line doing all sorts of extreme stupid shit. What scares me more about it AIDS is the nature of it. You die a slow death and slowly watch your young strength and stamina fade away until you turn into a weak caracase barely holding onto life. Even if the process takes twenty years, I'd cursing myself the whole time for being so stupid. That's not the way I'm going to go out. Period.

Im 20 going on 21 and I've been HIV+ all my life. I contracted it through a blood transfusion 2 or 3 days after birth. I only found out about this at the age of 16 when I was hospitalized for pneumonia and a couple of other various lung infections.
If I wasnt HIV+ would I fuck a girl who I knew was HIV+ with a condom? Hell no.
Knowing what I know now, and expiriencing HIV first-hand, no amount of sex is worth the 1/1000000000000000th chance of contracting a terminal illness. And thats just real. Im know alot of you are sexually active and willing, but you really have to think about your health in this day and age. I really encourage everyone to go out and get tested BEFORE they start enganging in sex for the first time, and then continuing to get tested every 6 months after. If youre a parent, educating and getting your kids tested at an early age is important, because although my circumstances of contracting HIV resulted from a generational problem (before in the early 80's they had no knowledge of HIV; I wasnt the only one to contract it as a child through blood transfusion - hundreds of people were infected in the same fashion) kids are are becoming more and more sexually active at a younger age.
Its not about discrimination, its not about misunderstanding, its about safety. people have the right to define the level of personal risk theyre willing to take - which is also why I agree with the law in Florida that makes it a felony for an HIV+ person to have sex with someone who is negative without telling them. People who are HIV+ and still participate in high-risk sex without telling their partner are a danger to society, and they should be treated as such.
